Im 67, and i see people on here acting like experts and either giving out bad or obsolete info. Theres things they act like they thought of that me and my buds used 30 to 50+ yeats ago. This man here is straight-up. I was exempted from service but raised in a military family. I was taught all the older training, by my father and uncle (ww2), and newer training and tips from my cousin (Green Beret.) Yep. I fully agree on this fella. Straight to the point and always good info. Some i already knew, but he gives great tips and tricks that may matter a lot on what happens to you . Stay safe. Good travels.

Your channel is easily one of the best of its kind on KZfaq. Great info and SUPER concise. Other youtubers would have taken over an hour to accomplish what you did in 8 minutes. You should teach classes into making youtube videos. The collective value of KZfaq would go up by a factor of 100,000 if other youtubers could be as concise as you.

The more of these I watch the more I thank God for my old Scout survival instructors- Vietnam, Korea, and WW2 vets all- and it's remarkable how much they taught that apparently Ranger training uses. You've even taught this old Eagle a thing or two, and for that I'm grateful.

The match trick is a good one - old mate told me when he was in prison they used to split wooden matches down the middle with a razor blade. This gave 2 lights off the one match & when things are limited - you need to make things go further.

Good stuff. I thought it was interesting that you extended your "reach" on the saw to allow yourself to remain in cover and concealed from view. The "leaf trick" was brilliant. Sometimes older tricks can be applied in new ways thus application makes them new again.

Damn good shit! I prefer to keep one larger hank. On the tag end I tie to my saw and chuck it over the branch I want to cut. I put a loop along the hank to larkshead onto the other end of my saw, and long enough so I'm not sawing underneath the branch. Limb falls, I'm not hurt, have material for structure and still one long hank of cord. P.S. don't cut limbs with bee hives. They'll swarm and attack, even if you just began cutting and didn't notice the hive. I already use my spoon. As I was watching I thought, "It's gonna get hot!" But then I saw you using a cloth... Peuw! A splash of water helps too. Awesome video Andrew. Thanks for the knowledge... You're an absolute 'encyclopaedia'!!! "You LEGEND". Cheers!
