Hey everyone! It's almost the end of 2020 and today, I’ll be sharing 10 different New Year’s Eve nail art ideas! I used the same black, gold, and glitter polishes for all 10 designs, so you could either pick one of these designs and do it on all 10 nails or you could pick a few and do a fun mix and match mani! I have found that cheap medical paper tape, like that found at dollar tree, never pulls up my polish like clear tape can.

hi from Greece..you put to the nail direct base coat ?..you put primer before or is not necessary to do that?

Always good to apply a base coat before nail polish! I usually just push back my cuticles, apply a base coat, and then polish. I don't use any other primer/dehydrator or anything

Thank you very much for answering..My name is Chrysanthi and I was very happy to speak with..because now I am starting to learn to do the nails myself and I do not want to put primer. so i do that?I just file the surface of my natural nail well, ,( I buff )and then I put a base coat - uv led lamp then the semi-permanent color- uv led lamp and then the top coat uv led lamp twice and I am ready? Did I understand correctly? ,💌💅💅💅💅

These are all so pretty 😍 I love the matte black look on nails. Also, thanks for doing a tutorial on real natural length nails. So many have nail art for super long fake nails.

How do you handle the fine brush to apply the painting without drying and leaving the surface so smooth?...is it the type of painting? or the speed?...because when I use the fine brush I have to be very quick to apply it before it dries...and still the surface isn't smooth, and with visible layers, so I have to use the regular brush...I can't use the fine brush to paint larger areas

I think it partly depends on what polish you're using. For the second design that I used the fine nail art brush to paint those curves, the black didn't show many brush strokes because it's more of a glossy polish, whereas the gold polish showed the brush strokes a little cause it's more of a metallic chrome polish. I also try my best to work with fresh polish and as quickly as I can. Hope this helps!

Can I follow the same method with shellac? Also are you drying behind next application?

I've never actually tried Shellac before, but from what I've seen about Shellac, at least some designs should work! And yes, I let the previous coat dry before applying/painting the next step. Especially important for designs with tape!
