Excellent video Brittany. I'm 66 yrs old and wear 100% cotton undies. My mom taught my sis and me early so I knew most of this. Great idea about using the pad cut to pocket size. So many young women are afraid to ask us older ladies questions. Trust our life experience, we're happy to pass along info.

I had to teach one of my daughter's friends (13) many things like pad vs tampon, how often to change them, about swimming while on her period, proper way to brush your teeth - she had no idea that you are suppose to go by the gums and backs of your teeth, taught her that you are suppose to scrub your scalp and not just wash the ends of your hair,.... lots of things people take for granted. Her parents are quite absent. I think there is a need for that content on here. Especially since many young people don't have anyone to talk to where they wouldn't be too embarrassed.

This is a great video! And I almost skipped over it 🤣! I am now 70 years old and thought at first this doesn’t apply to me, but you gave some very useful advice for all ages! My doctor told me (I think I was 33 at the time) to wear ONLY all cotton panties and to leave them off at night. I was quite surprised at that advice! But at the time, I was having problems with UTIs and yeast infections. His advice was so helpful, and I still wear cotton panties to this day. Another thing I’ve found quite helpful is taking (daily) the AZO cranberry tablets. I also now have bladder leakage, a problem most older women have, and wear a pad daily. Shop around until you find a brand that feels and works the best for you, just as you most likely do for period pads and tampons. All these tips are spot on! Thank you for making this video, and I will never again even THINK about skipping over one of your videos! ♥️

Also for people who want to save money or are on a budget - incorporate fermented food in yours and your families diet. I had so many health problems, digestive, skin and food issues for decades not knowing that my gut biome was hella out of whack. I went to so many specialists and they would only refer me to another doctor, another appointment, a couple hundred extra dollars. Then I came across a youtube video about 5 years ago. All it took was eating fermented foods daily ( a little bit because of the sodium content. ) It saved my life! This is a serious matter that probably many people are suffering from NEEDLESSLY. Please share and do your own research. Educate yourself and your communities. This is a big problem with a very simple solution. It's just sad that our culture is this disconnected from common sense health. This being just one example.

@@marnellecorege5595 There were so many foods I couldn't eat in the beginning including most probiotic foods/supplements so for me pickles were my safest bet. Just a little bit, with one meal a day. And I would take a swig of pickle juice once a day when that was all that was left over. In other words nothing went to waste. 😊 I don't think it's necessary to eat them everyday, but for me consistency of ingesting probiotics was what solved my issues. There were so many foods I couldn't digest and now I can eat whatever I want, including dairy and wheat. You're totally welcome!

KP is actually a dry skin condition. Exfoliators may temporarily make it feel a bit smoother but they won't solve the problem. I used to have KP and as soon as I started applying a moisturizer to the top of my arms after every shower it started to improve and after about 2 months was completely gone. I used the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Unscented Gel Body Cream. An exfoliator may help speed this up for some people but if you have sensitive skin it's likely to just irritate your skin and just moisturizing would probably be your best bet.
@trae4529
@trae4529 2 жыл бұрын
KP is a build up of skin keratin that doesn’t slough off as it should AND dry skin tends to make it worse or sometimes bring it on altogether. It’s not really known why or how dry skin can exacerbate KP, but the two seem to go hand in hand. Sometimes alleviating dry skin will make KP go away, but sometimes it doesn’t, that’s when a chemical exfoliant is most helpful.

This was a great video. I had read awhile back someone had asked what to use to stop external itching and the Dr’s recommendation was to use baby shampoo. I really didn’t have much of a problem with itching only occasionally maybe when it was hot outside but I thought I’d try it and have been using it ever since it works great! Like so many other of your followers always cotton panties and another reason for not wearing them at night is the elastic around our legs while sleeping isn’t good for our circulation.

My go to to avoid UTI's & yeast infections is an Irri bottle (irrigation bottle) like I was given by nurses after my son was born to rinse my perineum after urinating so it would heal well (it had torn during labor). Years later, I started adding about an oz of vinegar to the water. Keeps the bottle clean & soft. 40+ years -- no UTI's or yeast infections.

Your husband is so funny!!! 🤣 I use to suffer from yeast infections for years....tried drinking cranberry juice/pills, a lot af water (not water person😓) went to gynecologists, did creams, diets lots of praying...I was so desperate I was ready to do just about anything to get rid of it. One night doing more research I came across one KZfaq video.... Woman suggested to take one ounce of Olive oil and about 10-20 drops of tea tree essential oil, apply liberally around and over🦋.... since then I have never had a problem. Everytime I feel weird down there; clean, dry, apply! WORKS LIKE MAGIC!

The comedy aspect you and Ryan do is so funny 😂😂 Y'all for UTI's/Yeast infections, I normally use AZO pills, they are simple and if you feel a little off down there, just pop one of those pills and the symptoms will go away and they do make UTI pills which will help with the burning sensation and overall take away the UTI, you can find them in Walmart by the tampons/pads. Also if your yeast infection is advanced and you just have that burning/itching sensation you can go to the doctor/get over the counter cream, and I also use an ice pack for extreme cases, just put the ice pack on your 🍑 and it will stop the itching and give the medicine time to work And as always drink water water water all the time, if you are drinking sugary stuff you will get an issue and someone (like myself) am very prone to UTI/Yeast infection. Also make sure you are going to your gyno regularly

The Azo is great to relieve symptoms of a UTI, however if there is true bacterial growth in your urine causing an infection, Azo will not kill the bacteria. If untreated with an antibiotic it could go to the kidneys

You can also "rinse off" with apple cider vinegar. That helps with your PH down there and prevents UTIs

I use the Carefree liners every single day. I feel more fresh. Also, anytime there are skin issues, unless it is poison ivy or something you touched, it is most likely something in your diet, and your body is reacting to it (and trying to get rid of it through your skin/pores). I always use an exfoliant to get rid of the dry skin, to reveal new skin, BUT to do it to "get rid" of the bumps is only covering the problem. Change up the diet. To avoid UTIs....ALWAYS pee right after having sex (like within 10 minutes). Additionally, when going #2, I do all of the steps you mention, BUT, the noises coming from inside the bathroom are not drowned out much by the extra noises in there (i.e. shower). There has to be additional noise in the outside rooms (where the other person/people are). Turn on the TV or the sound machine. 😉

Exactly TV needs to be on or radio. Also, if you light a match and turn the hot water on, it masks the smell of the burnt match, but the match will kill the odor of #2. Just in case you find yourself spending the night

Great topic Brittany, I don’t suffer from UTI’s but my elderly Mum does of late since she’s become in continent it’s become a real problem for her and me because in the elderly a lot of people don’t know how it effects them, they don’t often have the regular symptoms of a UTI but can have symptoms of Dementia unless treated by a urine test, I’ve seen first hand what it did to my Mum, and there’s no way of explaining this to them until they get onto the right medication to clear it up, she was talking absolute rubbish whilst in the hospital for something else and it only came on her in hospital, I requested a urine test and yep, she had a severe UTI, just an fyi for anyone that has elderly parents and notice a change in their mood swings, it doesn’t mean that they are on the verge of dementia, it could just be as simple as a UTI in them and can be treated, my poor Mum couldn’t believe the way she spoke to me once I was able to explain to her what was happening and what she’d said to me because I’m all she’s got in this world, I’ve now got her on a care plan from her Dr to be able to get her panty aides for Free and change them more often because it only takes a little dribble down there 👇🏻 to cause a uti, and some don’t realise that, also wipe front to back when going to potty 🚽. I loved Ryan’s reaction to the down there 👇🏻 flush out Lol 😂, I can actually imagine him doing that and using it for what he did Lol 😂. Great video as always. ❤️❤️

Critical info for anyone with older parents! A nurse explained to me that once the UTI is successfully treated the sudden-onset dementia-like symptoms should diminish.
@-nellie-m3711
@-nellie-m3711 2 жыл бұрын
@@karenfriebel7680 That’s correct, I’m a retired nurse and had to ask the nursing staff at the hospital where my Mum was to do a urine test for a UTI because I’d noticed unfamiliar behaviours and her talking absolute rubbish when I was visiting her, in elderly people especially, they don’t have the normal stinging and burning sensations of a regular uti when someone younger has one, it’s definitely not one size fits all or I should say, it’s not all symptoms are the same. It can be very frightening for those around the person if you don’t know what to look for and ask questions, the symptoms are very similar to Dementia, which can be very scary for the family and concerning. 😊💕💕

The toilet paper trick also prevents toilet water splashing up when the poop bombs drop into the toilet water. Helps to prevent bacteria from splashing onto those parts which is another cause of UTI

Hello Mrs. Vasseur, I really enjoyed your video. The idea of spraying something into the toilet bowl and placing a piece of tp in it after wards, while the shower is on, stuck with me. 1. The scent is contained and, 2. It is sound proof. Genius. That is quite more discreet than using air freshener before and after each trip to the restroom - alerting everyone. Thank you for the tip. 🙂
