"Guild Wars is certainly no Dark Souls" HoT Hero Points: "Are you sure about that?" Great guide, keep it up! Even if I have quite some playtime now I enjoy every new beginners guide, there is so much to learn and discover in this game!

Haha THIS! Was crafting legendary last night, and was confused why I didn't have some HP. I learned very quickly why I had not solo'd them last time I played xD

Major Tip!!! I've played on and off since release but last 2 years I took it more "seriously", and play every day. I thought I was dumb for not realizing this feature/ tip earlier but it seems no one else is talking about it, and it is this TIP: need a merchant? bank? TP? or even just to get fast to LA? go to PVP LOBY!!! top left corner of screen, two swords symbol. I don't play PVP at all but it is so useful! and when you click it again you are right back from where you came!

i gotta say, i did my first world exploration for legendary crafting before glider came out, and now that i've got mounts i'm so glad i can skip alot of it. world exploration on foot was NOT fun(to me at least)

I just got back into GW 2 after a 2 year break. Damn i missed this game. A little advice for new players: ENJOY your early game. Dont even buy any expansion until 40-50 h into the game. You will have a blast. Wait until you will get your mount trial and you first experience the raptor. In this game your first newbee experience is not like in other any other games. Your progression is not like in any other game. Take it slow bcs is a huge game. Tired of Wow and other bullshit? Come to GW 2. It is your retirement mmo. Nice video +1 sub 🥂

hell yea welcome back my dude! retirement mmo is a nice way to put it. I also think of it as a "home mmo" because you can go on a nice holiday to many other great mmos but you always return home.

Hey, my son and I just started playing. I'm wondering... if you were to buy one expansion, which would you recommend? Flying/Gliding would be super important to me at this point.

welcome to gw2! hope you enjoy your stay. I would definitely recommend the heart of thorns/path of fire expansion bundle then. they are the first 2 expansions and they are bundled together now for the price of 1 so easily the best value for your money. heart of thorns unlocks gliding and path of fire unlocks most mounts and they are arguably the best and most game changing unlocks. plus being the first 2 expansions you get the added bonus of being able to do the story in order if you want. the story really starts picking up in the expansions. the original personal story is probably the weakest in my opinion. all the best!

hey can I ask where you got those round coke bottle glasses? The only round one's I can find are the Inventor's sunglasses. but those are tinted sunglasses. Are you able to dye the tint clear or something? EDIT: Aaaaaah, I did some googling and found out that those particular glasses are stuck to an entire outfit. That's a bummer.

yeaaa they are part of the queensdale academy outfit :P one other glasses option that comes to mind is if you get the skysage's helm skin from the current wizards vault, it also unlocks the "skysage's spectacles" skin which is just the glasses by themselves with no hat, and they can be dyed clear. They are similar but not quite the same style of glasses.

So.. how do you start collecting the cute outfits at 80? do you have to pay for most of them?

you can get them at any level! on rare occasions you can get them as freebies from like twitch drops n stuff but they usually come from the gemstore. so you can either buy gems with real money or convert in game gold to gems!

Compared to ffxiv. I really struggle to find a good guild here that raids. And when i tried to pug in lfg i was met with lost ark levels of toxicity lol. Idk it could be my luck!

the raiding scene is pretty different from NA and EU servers from what I've heard. on EU it's easier to pug raids, but on NA it's a little bit harder and a lot of ppl will turn things like discord communities to get into raiding. personally I learnt mostly through the raid academy discord instead of with guildies and I definitely recommend it. as long as you are upfront with your skill level and have a bit of patience they are a fantastic community to learn to raid

Wait, there is jumping puzzles that allows mounts? Thought there only was gliding that was allowed in some puzzles

I think there are a few actually, but I was mostly just referring to the tiny little few jumps required to get to some vistas and POIs etc.
