Honestly, NFF is confused, they should have had 3 options to employ after AFCON because if Augustine does well there would be no need to rip him off that position.

Hiring a coach one weak before tournament means Nigeria never learn from past. Same mistake when they hired lagarbach 2 weeks before 2010 World Cup, a good coach but a disastrous would cup due to coach not knowing the players. He thought yakubu was the best player until yakubu missed his simple goal

We’re not making past the group stage with this guy in charge. Why did they fire the previous coach? He was doing well, knew the players which helps in selection!

Are you ok or did I miss read your comment, 5 years in charge and you said he was doing well? We lost to small unknown countries and that is bad coaching. Germany never lost to San Marino or Gibraltar. Stop smoking. Our players play for Napoli, Leicester, Watford, Villarreal and we lost to a country with no star.

This is embarrassing. How can the NFF seek a coach for the Super Eagles who last coached Venezuela, without any significant accomplishments. This is the problem with Nigeria. Dishonesty! The officials seek some one who would work with them to inflate prices, so they can get a cut. The Super Eagles deserve a "World Class" coach, not a mediocre and under-achieving coach like this guy. What's really going on in Nigeria? Is the Devil head-quatered in Nigeria? This is pathetic and shameful. Someone should veto this appointment, because it smells really bad. Where is Segun Odegbami? He should speak out against this appointment, because he was the main voice raging against the dull and uncreative manner that Gernot Rohr carried himself. Nigeria needs a new set of leaders in the Sports Management body like the NFF. Enough is enough. This corrupt people are taking Nigerians for granted. They lack vision, they lack honesty, and they lack the spirit of patriotism. NFF OUT!

My brother you just said my mind. The corruption is just too much that they hide under the umbrella by FIFA that a government of a country can't interfere. That's why they do shady deals to make money out of this deal & inflate the foreign currency price.

What stuck out to me the moment I went through his resume is that he hardly kept a job for more than a year. If hes that good. Why that?. I don't think this is a good hire just the same way I felt about Rohr for all his years that he was clueless

He's going to do even worse than Rohr. 3-0 loss in first leg no matter who we go against. What is this? He was sacked by Venezuela and that's his only recent national team coaching experience, which went horribly. The NFF is addicted to foreign coaches no matter how bad they are, ridiculous

If this is the type of Coach NFF is bringing what is the need of sacking Gernot Rohr? What is the difference between Gernot Rohr and 'Jose Perseiro' ? Nigeria is shit-hole indeed. What a confused country. I am not saying Gernot Rohr is a good Coach, he is not. What I am saying is that is there no good Coach apart from Rohr and Perseiro'? Nigeria have no shame at all. What makes Nigeria the giant of Africa when all the smaller countries are aiming higher and Nigeria that called itself giant is aiming lower? Them swear for you Nigeria?

An unwise and detrimental appointment by Nigeria. José Peseiro badly managed only two National Teams: Saudi Arabia: 2009-2011 and Venezuela: 2020-2021 - in his coaching experience. Otherwise, since 1992, José has been managing clubs; mostly in Portugal, etc. José Peseiro is not suitable to serve as Head Coach of Nigeria's world-class Super Eagles. This man is not a good coach i don't care about his profile he have nothing to offer to super eagles. He probably accepted super eagles job because he wants to go to Qatar. Or another way for NFF to launder money. If NFF is serious, they should have get a local coah a Nigerian to handle super eagles. If they are desperate for a foreign they should have gone for a Dutch coach from Nederland or south America.
