Two of the books on Hitler's book burning list were, Darwin's, "The Origin of Species" and "The Descent of Man". Darwin was a vocal opponent of slavery. He and his entire family created and financed lobby groups to abolish slavery, as they had a long tradition of being abolitionists. Even creation ministries International acknowledges this, by posting this information on their website. Hitler was a creationist who rejected evolution and actually used Catholic dogma to justify his extermination of the Jews. Anybody who has read "Mein Kampf" would know this.

An organism doesn't necessarily have to find a niche. Say that the chances of each individual bacterium finding a niche is 1,000 to one, and you have a million bacteria. You would expect that 1,000 bacteria would find their niche. However, with probability, that doesn't always happen. Take for example a die; it has 6 sides and each side has a 1/6 chance of landing on top. It is still only a 1/6 chance. Even if you throw the die a million times, there is still the chance that it will never land on 1. Hope this helps you understand better and have a nice day.

At the end of the day most things that are not literally but effectively impossible are things that require sentient entities to make specific choices. For example, while our monkey/typerwiter thing is not physically impossible to occur, the fact that no one would do it/devote the time and resources to keep it going for long enough/w/e means that the long odds against become certain enough odds against because even in infinite time there's not inherently the possibility that some entity will make every possible choice. Even (or perhaps especially) when it comes to deterministic, non-free will models, there are likely no arrangements of events/matter/what have you that would actually create the circumstance in which an entity would make that choice, and as such our monkeys/keyboard example is functionally impossible... Even though it's not physically impossible and as such still functions as an adequate metaphor. It's just one of those interesting quirks of "impossibility." Just because someone *could* choose to do something doesn't mean that, in an infinite amount of time with an infinite amount of iterations, anyone actually *will*. Dang sentients.

andy stokes and to make it an analogy that's relevant to evolution you would have to every time any of the monkeys got a word or sentence right take that and put that aside to keep adding it up until you got the entire Shakespeare play. Evolution doesn't just keep taking a bunch of junk throwing it together until it finally comes out with the right answer it changes small things and when it works out passes on that thing and changes another small thing and passes on that thing so they would have to every time they spelled one word right put that word aside and go on to the next word So eventually it would be inevitable that it would work
@tinaspringer6516 жыл бұрын
Thaddeus Genhelm no the monkeys with the typewriter wood come up with a Shakespeare play or the Bible or anything else if you used it the same way as Evolution does and every time it got a word right put that word aside and went on to the next word cuz Evolution doesn't start over with every generation it builds on what worked for the generation before so you can't have the Monkees start over with each typing every time they get a word write that word gets put into the book and eventually it is inevitable

22:49 This is the argument that always irks me, and even Rhino kinda gets his explanation wrong. The theory is not evolution. People always leave out the most important piece of the name of the theory. Evolution is an observable fact. Life forms change over time, we know this. The theory that explains how life forms change over time is the Theory of Evolution By Natural Selection, natural selection being the most important part. Rhino leaves the natural selection part out, but he's right in saying that the theory explains the mechanism by which the fact occurs.

This is the reality of the online atheist, just accepts science he doesn't understand as true...... cos.
@sebs46225 жыл бұрын
@@Phill0old well ok then time to explain natural selection and the evolution of giraffes. Natural selection is when one group of species may need to adapt to it's environment so it can produce more offspring. Usually mutations happen first for a species to test if the mutation at all helped but usually the mutations are small. That was my definition, now I will give the real definition. "the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. The theory of its action was first fully expounded by Charles Darwin and is now believed to be the main process that brings about evolution.". Ok now time to explain giraffes. Giraffes approximately got their long necks 6 million years ago due to the fact long necked giraffe fossils didn't appear in the fossil record until approximately 6 million years ago. Although short hacked giraffes were around much longer because of the fossils we have of them (Although not to many) dating back to 23 million years ago to around 6 million years ago when long necked giraffes started appearing more often. Are you happy?
@Phill0old5 жыл бұрын
@@sebs4622 Hilarious. No explanation of the evolution of giraffes at all. Natural selection isn't part of Darwin's evolutionary theory it us the whole theory. The Evolution of the Species by Natural Selection being his work. Why did Giraffes develop long necks and why are their necks as they are? As for the fossil record, give me a break lol, there are this many medium necked giraffe fossils.....none. So you can't explain how, or why or back it up with actual evidence anyway. What a great theory that isn't. Here is an easier case for you to try. Wildebeest. Explain how predation is linked to natural selection in wildebeest who move in vast herds and where only the old and very young fall prey to predators.
@sebs46225 жыл бұрын
@@Phill0old alright then. Giraffes likely evolved long necks so they can graze trees more easily. Or maybe the evidence points to a different conclusion that we don't know of due lack of some fossils. As for the fossils of medium necked giraffes, search up Samotherium. It's an extinct species closely related to the giraffe but we have found pieces of vertebrae from it and a skull and they date back to 7 million years (according to the radiometric dating). Oh and I never said anything about Darwin. That was part of the definition from the dictionary. I also want to clear some stuff put of the way. I have dug up some small fossils (not that old) and even made guesses on what the species was and even how it acted. So yes I do some research and fossil hunting on my own and not just from what I'm told so. If evidence is insufficient, the conclusion based on the small pieces of evidence is not official and believable yet.

Also, he got in trouble with the captain of the Beagle because of his anti-racism ... and more. And Darwin explicitely wrote that evolution was not a reasonable model for how a society should work. Plus, Hitler loved Darwin's books so much he banned them. And ... surprise, surprise ... when you read "Mein Kampf", you see that Hitler was actually a creationist. His take on "kinds" is pretty much word-for-word what modern creationists say about the topic: "The fox remains always a fox, the goose remains a goose, and the tiger will retain the character of a tiger." Oh, and let's just point out that "social Darwinism" isn't Darwinism, wasn't invented by Darwin (it was created by Henry Spencer), Spencer seems to have had a view more like Lamarck than Darwin, and the label "social Darwinism" was applied by others after the fact. What's really great about it is that the DNA shared with bananas _overlaps_ the DNA shared with chimps. @Cegesh _In_ some places? _FROM_ some places. The cross happened several dozen generations back, by now the decedents of it have spread to [almost] every country.

Fact 4: Evolution has occult roots. A fact missing from most young-earth creationist view of the world is that the actual history of the development of their mythical God after the very same historical roots. El was the original name of the Hebrew God but also the name of the Canaanite God with attributes taken from the Egyptian pantheon and also from the Babylonian Zoroastrian religion. The Jews/Hebrews always had to have their God better than anyone else’s God’s of whenever they encountered a society with a stronger God the Hebrews transferred those traits and glued them onto their God. The alleged Satan who I was never mentioned as being in the garden of Eden according to Genesis rather it was the talking snake who is the symbol and avatar for the goddess Asherah who was both the wife of the God El and later the same God who became known as Yahweh. By the way, the snake was the only creature that told the truth God from the very beginning was a liar.

@susanmaggiora48004 жыл бұрын
Bryce Gray I’m sure there are plenty of books written on that. It’s not like the three of us are the only ones thinking about religion. Also, you can look at older religions, see when they came in contact with the Jews & see what powers their ‘god’ started to have. I’m sure things camps be created independently, but when you’re coming into contact with differing groups of tribes over 1,000 years, don’t you think that aspects of their religion will rub off? If you say not,’ you’re probably being willfully ignorant or just not understanding of how cultural osmosis happens...

Here's why I'm not religious: 1: If a divine entity exists and demands to be worshiped, it is not worthy of worship. 2: If it doesn't care about worship, why should I care? 3: If it doesn't exist, it doesn't matter one way or the other. In other words, the only reason to worship any divine entity is out of fear that it will punish me if I don't - and as far as I'm concerned, that's just a bully who don't deserve the time of day.

You can generally tell when someone is parroting words they don't understand. Is it just me or is the kid just reading words he doesn't understand. It seems like his pastor or parents gave him a report to read and post on the intertubez.

@dilophosaurus65 It seems you don't study science for yourself.... And the problem is you think it's Fact... And evolution is only possible If we only miss 25% and 18% DNA of both humans and monkeys...And there are many holes like this which evolutionists don't want you to know...Over they years they have successfully covered it under SCIENCE.... But creating something out of nothing is pure/beyond MAGIC, NOT SCIENCE..

Hitler did NOT think the "Ayran" race was more intelligent. He specifically said so. He believed they were more morally pure , less selfish and more given to cooperation. Because when I think of German history I think "people who can get along with each other".
