Actually, there was another moment in ufc history when a fighter was in the cage and the fight got called off and that was Royce Gracie vs Harold Howard. In fact, BOTH fighters were in the cage AND announced by the ring announcer! That fight also has the distinction of being the only time a towel was thrown in for a ufc fighter that DIDN’T result in a loss for the fighter who’s corner threw it in.
