Unpopular opinion: Highway is the best bollywood movie in terms of writing. The character of Mahabir is so well built, developed throughout the movie.. All subtle nuances of the character made the story look so real and the scene where he broke down is unparalleled and so beautifully written. That's when bollywood cinema peaked in terms of writing.

How could you miss Somu from Sadma? That character got the most horrendous ending. One of the most, if not the most, tragic endings ever to an Indian film.. and the saddest thing is that it wasn't anyone's fault, but only destiny's.

Sukhi in Rang De Basanti also deserved a better end as he was a sweet bubbly character who did not kill anyone as a vigilant but still dies and actually sacrifices himself so that he could not see anyone dying. I just fell in love with Sharman's character in it and I felt that he deserved a better life.❤🥺

I don't like the climax part ( Why You Killed a Powerful person without any proof) Sukhi character known about the Karan's Father involved in this corruption , They could have done burglary on Karan's home ( for some proofs/evidences )

@@syedaliakbar6186 yup , me too,I have watched movie in 2017,he was a fool ,but I m just saying he was madly in love with her ,girl cheated him ,used him for her own purpose, he doesn't deserve death, girl realize in the last scene at least a person who need loves back can be given a chance ,,,btw raanjhana hua MN tera and Tum tak are still in my playlist,the magic of ar Rahman is unmatchable

Dil Bechara was a rushed and poor adaptation of A Fault in our Stars but Kyunki was actually very sad.

If all these characters would have got a better/happy ending.. Then they wouldn't have been remembered for so fondly and for so long. The tragedy which happened with these characters makes them memorable/immortal.

No. 1 for me :- ' Adi ' from a masterpiece 2020 Kannada film ' Dia ' . He gives a new motive and inspiration of life to completely broken and depressed Dia and he was such a beautiful character but at the ending , his terrible situation and sudden death ...🥺 Just gave me that sleepless night and shock for many days 💔

Well said about Randeep Hooda's character Mahabir in 'Highway' who fails to get another chance to live a normal life again. Similar thing happens to Shiny Ahuja in 'Gangster' who was now being portrayed as a "nice" person in the end, where he wants to shed his Gangster life for good, but Emraan Hashmi, the ruthless police officer had other plans.

If I keep my theory what you can see the similarity in Kal Ho Na Ho and Anand I can say that Kal Ho Na Ho is a loosely based on Anand you can see the similarity in two characters where Rajesh Khanna and Shahrukh Khan

It's not that radhe was taken back to the asylum, he went back by himself. Radhe was totally hard broken after nirjara's death and he finally loses his mind and is no longer stable. Truly heartbreaking

You could’ve added two more on here; Maya Shaikh/Katrina Kaif’s role in New York had such a gut wrenching ending at the last scenes of the movie. And also of course the famous Heer and Jordan from Rockstar. Both characters had such an ill fated ending.
