Kane was one of the strongest guys ever in WWE, that helped to really sell the move. I think Mark Henry should have used something like that. Always thought his worlds strongest slam was a horrible finisher.

Austin getting the stunner was the best thing ever. It completed his character, him being a badass and using a boring sleeper hold wouldn’t have worked.
@tempestfennac9687

It worked to a degree when you consider how he initially based the "Stone Cold" character on a serial killer who he'd seen a documentary about (his nickname was Ice Man which is why Austin needed a temperature-based title). I agree that an impact finisher like the Stunner would have been needed even if he'd kept using the Million Dollar Dream regularly.

@@tempestfennac9687 Yeah Richard Kuklinski, I watched that same documentary he got it from in 1995, pretty awesome he got his character from that and his wife. I see what your saying though, I'm actually glad he mingled the Million Dollar Dream into his moveset still sometimes.

@@Bulls3ye86 yeah, he's from texas, not new York, raised in Houston even though he was born in Louisiana, so Houston hangover makes more sense as a name. He's one of the many many guys who prove that texas produces more great wrestlers than any other region in the world. Undertaker, HBK, Eddie Guerrero (he was 100% American, born and raised in texas, despite his character being Mexican), Chavo Guerrero too, Dusty Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Jake the snake Roberts, Terry funk, the von erich family, Bob Backlund, Terry Funk, Dory Funk Jr, Barry Windham, Tully Blanchard, Bruiser Brody, Steve Austin, Mark Henry, JBL, Keith Lee, and many many many more, including Booker T. I'm not even American by the way, let alone texan. I'm from the UK. But it just astounds me how many hall of fame level wrestlers that texas has produced. If you counted them all up, texas probably has produced more all time greats than the next 5 states combined. I dunno why this is, why texans seem to love pro wrestling more than anyone else, but yeah. Maybe it's because they're in such close proximity to Mexico, that there's a lot of crossover between the American style snd the Mexican style, and so way more fans there than anywhere else.

2:53 Scott Hall was actually the one who suggested to Shawn to use the sweet chin music as his finish because ordinarily back then, Shawn's sequence of moves would consist of him performing the kick and immediately afterwards, he would scoop his opponent back up from the mat in order to execute the side suplex. Hall told him at some point to just pin his opponents after the kick sense they're already down on the canvas...
