The difference between City and United is shocking. Alvarez sits on the bench while United started with Weghorst in many games this season.

@@suryansdash5830 if they actually tried to field 2 strong teams not take all starters on 1 team and all academy on another. Its also the PL no game is "easy" they also had nothing to play for at that point.

He plays for Manchester City and the fact that a player like Julian Alvarez is warming your bench, your team must be that good and he is the understudy to Erling Haaland. Julian Alvarez is good enough to walk into almost any team in the world and yet he's on the bench at Manchester City.

Most of the time pep subs off haaland for Alvarez about 60 mins in so that haaland stays fit because haaland is very injury prone

Alvarez is the future of city when guandeon, bernando, mahrez leave. He is not here to play for halaand. He is to play with halaand. Alvarez can control, press, assist, score. He can fit in any position in city. I strongly believe, he will heir bernando next season.

i mean it's probably pretty hard to break into the first team as a regular forward when the first option broke the prem scoring record in his first season and made hattricks seem not so special anymore. I do remember a few games where Pep ran a system with two forwards, but it's not that popular anymore so idk rly

Alvarez won't leave City for a few reasons. 1. Pep loves him and how versatile he is, Alvarez can play on both wings, as a CAM or in the striking role by himself or paired with someone, I really doubt Pep will let someone like that go. 2. He has stated he loves being at City 3. He said himself that he loves learning from Haaland about how to move, what to look for and how to always improve 4. I'm sure Pep sees him in the future as a starter but since it's his first season in a top club he needs to get used to Pep first 5. recently re-signed him until 2028 6. City will command a fee of over 100 million I'm sure he will get a lot more game time next season

I mean idk why peoples are mad or don't understand why Alvarez is benched he is very young you have Haaland already here and frankly while he as of course been great often he didn't have much playtime and people saying he could be top 10 is like (exagerating of course) saying someone who scored a hat trick in a match and then never played of seasons was amazing, he as an amazing future infront of him and as always fans are overhyping it and trying to go too fast.

Well over 1000 mins he has played, probably 2000 . He doesn't start the big games, but in smaller league games he always starts alongside haaland.

Seriously I love Alvarez big time.😊 he should not be a benchwarmer he should play. But unfortunately Pep's only choice is to bench him is because man city have like of Haaland, Mahrez, Foden plus he cant do a 4-2-4 because man city need players like Rodri to strengthen the defence and De Bruyne to strengthen the attack.
