@@midnightXcross What the kids could not be told is that the power of become a techno organic robot is the very power that they are also trying to stop. The scientist wants that power so that they can create techno organic robots of their own but without their free will. That is something the original robot refuse to do as only reason that robots are common place now is because the original version of their power was just making humans into robots. This lead to a war where the scientist could have been one of the original techno organic robots that help end the war between humans and robots. The power they held and the ability to spread to others was what corrupted them. The robot fled only to run out of power themselves in that field where the children learn that they can still eat like normal however they can no longer die from hunger as instead they just enter into offline state until they supply with their own individual power (which they can make or control through usage of tech). There could be a kid that has the power to create and control water thus they powered by water. Their weakness can be the power they do get from eating they get through the absorbtion of water. They can not die from injuries that easily either as any harm that too them as long as it does not destroy their brain and/or their heart can be repaired through the absorbing of their individual power source. However this get them on the radar of various groups beyond just what the scientist interest in them and the robot that could travel with them. That would have all their powers combined yet serve most as back up power source and means to boost their powers too

For the most part, I tend to revamp or merge old ideas rather than scrap them entirely. I think there's always something to learn about old ideas and characters. And while they might not fit my current writing style, they can always be used for inspiration and turned into something new! 😊
