As a child (about 8 years old), I was hypnotised by this. It was so fascinating, mysterious, but also kind of creepy. Absolutely loved it.

Basically the original backrooms. An infinite maze of low resolution bricks and orange carpet. Occasionally filled with entities such as a stock photo rodent.

Imagine filming for about 9 hours and accidentally moving the mouse...

It's nostalgic watching this, but at the same time kind of unsettling since these graphics tend to be used a lot in more recent horror games and just the idea of being trapped in this endless maze with seemingly nothing else kinda gets the imagination going wild.

So this does exist! I thought it was all a crazy fever dream.

Man this brings back memories. Never thought I'd get all nostalgic over a freaking screensaver. A simpler time, back before Microsoft started putting ads inside the Operating System.

This doesn't feel authentic unless it's running at about 3 frames per second, just crawling through the maze due to underfunded computer school hardware.

My grandparents had a guest bedroom in their computer room. It was the one me and my brother had to share when we were little. I would watch this every time till I fell asleep lol.

I was trying to work out why I loved watching people play maze horror games so much and then I remembered that I used to sit and watch this screen saver for hours

Believe it or not, one of the very first computers my family owned could barely run this. I remember the walls would take like 30 seconds to finally come up because the CPU was doing all the work and it would barely handle it.

I Remember Windows 3D Maze When I Was a Kid

Nowadays, people will see this and immediately ask "Which Minecraft minigame is that?"

when i was in preschool my class had about 3 computers. id always show up to class too late to use them. never once did i get to play the games on them. the only time i got to indulge in them at all was when we had to lay down for naptime and the screensavers would play. it would be so enticing that i wouldnt even fall asleep
