His true size is "only" about 26.4 million kilometres (16.4 million miles). So, yes, while missing on this list, not "bigger than galaxies". Rather half-way from the sun to Mercury

In the hobbit most of dragon are been killed by elf and other wars. Only smaug survive, in the middle heart, we dont know if in the north still big dragons alive. Smaug is the only "vivern" alive , morgoth who create them, was death by some eons, and more time pass less dragon are big. Bytheway, we dont know if in the Tolkien ragnarok, some dragon , come back from the north and fight the last great war. He die before write it. Unfortunately.

Ghidorah is more like a three headed wyvren hydra alien and the difference between a wyvren and a dragon is that wyverns only have hind legs and wings while dragons have front and hind legs

Well, planet eater Ghidorah is over 20km long, and is stated to be able to be as large as he wants to be.

The debate on Ancalagon’s size is highly up for debate. He’s definitely bigger than stated in the video. When Ancalagon died his fall from a standing position flattened/destroyed the towers of Thancorodrim. Tolkien often references mountains as towers in his stories which could mean that Ancalagon was large enough to crush some of the largest towers (mountains) in middle by simply falling over

Here's my only complain: you didn't look at Monster Hunter franchise, whose bigger monsters, Dalamadur (440 metres long) and Raviente (450 metres) would be in 6th and 5th place respectively. Also Zorah Magdaros would be the 9th

There was a book I read a good while back, the black tattoo, where there was a universe creating/destroying dragon that also had cities built along its body. Pretty sure that one was big enough for the list

Same, but for me you thow in HTTYD. Dragons to me have always represented wonder, Beauty, mystery and power. They were just something to be respected. I don't ever remember once being afraid when I saw a dragon on screen no matter how scary, I was always just captivated by the sheer power they can possess and release when needed

40, 000 light years, impressive but actually still not the biggest dragon. Now in television history yes as of currently, but in general there is at least another dragon that is of much more quantifiable size. The largest dragon would likely be the Ur Dragon, whose wings are large enough to encase the ENTIRE multiverse. Granted we currently have no way to measure that kind of size, but still . . . gotta be really big to have that kind of description, but fitting for whom they may call The Father of All Dragons. Magic the Gathering is where I know him from.

I think a better way to put it would have been 'quantifiable' size. You can't quantify wings that can encase an entire multiverse, especially since a mutliverse may not even have size in the way we define it in terms of 3 physical dimensions.

I can think of one you missed. Bahamut from Final Fantasy XIV. He's so big that his hand alone is used as one of the raid battle areas, and it's easily one of the largest stages the game has ever used. He's quite easily the size of a mountain, which would probably put him just behind Ancalagon on this list here.

The only reason I can think of, why Aurelion Sol is not in here is because there i not a single clue on how large he realy is. He's massive, flicking out stars by accident, creating new ones instead, and as old as the universe itselfe. But we have no clue on how big he ist...

A creature, that varies in the size from collosal to miniscule, that sometimes has an association to an element/ some elements. They are usually depicted as reptilian but other types of dragons do exist, they can live anywhere at anytime and can be used as symbols for good or bad. They can also be mystic/magical. There can be many more things added to this list but these are some features.
