This is my take on the "10 Levels" plot as applied to a branch of sleight of hand card manipulation: finding the four aces!
NOTE:
This is NOT meant to be an instructional video on how to cheat at cards or on how to protect yourself from cheating. Don't watch this video and then try this stuff in a game or think you can’t be cheated. I make these videos for entertainment so that people can more deeply appreciate the craft and the art of sleight-of-hand. If you find this stuff interesting, go check out the work of people like Steve Forte, Jason England, Richard Turner, Darwin Ortiz, and Jason Ladanye. If you want to learn how to protect yourself at the card table, check out “Casino Game Protection,” “Poker Protection,” and “Gambling Protection Series” by Steve Forte, and “Gambling Scams” by Darwin Ortiz.
CREDITS:
Levels 1-4 are a variation of Edward Marlo's Miracle Aces, published in Faro Controlled Miracles. I first learned a version of that routine from Card College Vol. 3 by Roberto Giobbi. If you know what you're looking for, you'll spot a relic of the late Rod the Hop -- a full description is in Steve Forte's Gambling Sleight-of-Hand books. The final production used in Level 4 is the Benzais Spin-Out move. The production used for level 5 is known as the Friction Toss, which dates back to Professor Hoffmann's Modern Magic. Level 6 is based on a production by Steve Freeman. Levels 7-10 are a handling of the Ambitious Aces plot, which apparently originated with Hofzinser. My handling involves techniques and principles from Jean Hugard, Frederick Braue, Wesley James, and Tom Ellis. For more information on stacking the deck, see "Gambling Scams" by Darwin Ortiz and “Poker Protection” Steve Forte. I got the idea of the "10 Levels" structure from watching videos by WIRED magazine.

I love how, on the surface, these videos appear like they might be a tutorial. And yet they're actually killer routines. And then, in the comments, you provide the open door to the secret library: if people want to know, you've told them how. This is great, because it's so much better than just doing a reveal video: effort is required and rewarded. Brilliant stuff!

@@inbredbanana8156 Okay what the fuck. Gotta say my mind is blown at #10 when the bent card popped up at the top. What was that shit?
@inbredbanana8156
@inbredbanana8156 2 жыл бұрын
@@tgnuma2 So what he does is he bends TWO cards, with the ace of spades showing, he then puts the bent top card (which is some random card) into the middle of the deck, while holding down the bent ace on top of the deck. Then, when he causes it to "come to the top of the deck" he just releases finger pressure on the sides of the card. It's an amazing effect, and super easy to perform, I have a tutorial on my channel if you want. David Blaine does this trick all the time.
@WeeWillyWeiner
@WeeWillyWeiner 2 жыл бұрын
Yea we used to do 7-10 as kids forcing 4 cards under the ace of spades. "I'm going to put the aces into the pack", puts in 4 random cards. All the next levels are razzle dazzle with Aces sat on top
