Qi's Prismatic Grange quest requires 100 items of each colour, and doesn't require you to gather them in the time of the quest. Keeping 100 of some things is easy enough by the time you are there though. There are plenty of things that are really not worth selling that you can give Qi multiple times (Sap for Yellow, Fibre for Green, Salmonberries for Red, Broken CDs or Broken Glasses for Blue) but there are other more expensive things you can give him too.

Oooh. That’s cool. I think it depends on what product of ancient fruit you’re selling tbh. If you’re selling jelly, then ancient fruit is definitely better than starfruit. But if you’re selling wine then starfruit beats ancient fruit.

@@ItsMeAnika after looking at it. the one advantage Ancient Fruit has is that you don't need to Replant it. but Starfruit does make more money with a little bit more work with Replanting. (for wine)

@@ItsMeAnika Early game starfruit is more convenient to make into wine, but once you have a significant amount of ancient seeds, ancient fruit is better for both. Ancient fruit takes a week to regrow and you don't have to buy and plant new seeds every time. So being nearly twice as fast to grow as starfruit (after its initial growth cycle) and not having to buy the seeds makes ancient fruit way better. In fact after you subtract the cost of the seeds, starfruit actually makes you less money per fruit than ancient fruit. And if you're using a seed maker? Well you can use that for both so if you have seed makers there's no reason you can't expand a starfruit empire by then.

For the early years I usually use Starfruit anyway because my greenhouse is still filling with af and I want junimo huts

Yesss that’s for sure. But i feel like most people like me may not know this about debris and might ignore it. So, to avoid it affecting any machines, it’s best to put them inside a building. But hey as long as everyone knows what they’re doing, they could place it anywhere :)

Yeh I just fill my whole quarry with machines

@@Honeybunseth Including the bridge, it's possible to fit up to 405 accessible machines in the quarry, which is actually a lot more than the wiki claims. idk who mapped the one on there tbh. I should probably submit a screenshot of the layout I use next time I log on. Though I did you the one on there as a template to figure out my current setup. Basically you just need to be mindful of where to place double rows and don't forget the bottom just off screen in the current wiki screenshot. The upper left takes a bit more finagling and a chair

@@ItsMeAnika I check the wiki again. I was actually using the rancher right now, so I have 20% on animal produce. however, using artisan profession on late game might be different story. because I will have to give up on the rancher prof. so that means. artisan will sell more now. 😅 but extra work on filling up those cask. I'm shifting to from fruit wine to Goat cheese.

Whether or not you lose money for turning iridium products into their artisan good depends on the product and if you have the artisan profession. In most if not all cases if you have artisan, then it's still more profitable to process the raw product into its artisan good. I can only think of a few exceptions off the top of my head for if you don't use the artisan profession.
