If you (or anyone else) want to give homemade tiramisu another try, i'd definitely recommend claire saffitz's recipe - it's very easy to follow along, i've made it a few times and it's come out amazing every time. also, you really want to find actual lady fingers for this - the store bought ones are super airy, they weigh almost nothing, and soak up the filling extremely quickly which is why most recipes say to be quick when dunking them into the coffee mixture.

I think your godiva liquor may have caused the splitting. It has a shelf life of 12 months after opening and from the looks of it was discontinued a while ago too. Your lady finger biscuits are soft compared to the store bought ones because those will have been dried out over time to remove the moisture and increase storage life. Lady fingers are supposed to be just sticks of sponge cake basically.

He worked in cafeteria and some fast food restaurant for few years, but he clearly lack of experience on cooking because we can see that his cooking was messed up and changing the ingredients and steps too much. For example, during his video on Popeye sandwich and chicken butter, he always messing up with the ingredients and cooking steps that resulted in completely different food that he originally made for. Only on Viral cooking recipes from IG and Tiktok that he tried to take them seriously because the steps are simple and not very complicated. But, he still taking cuts for entertainment purpose which resulted in hilarious moments.

I love this channel because it makes my fuck ups seem less terrible, this whole video reminded me of that time my friend and I made tiramisu together and we ran out of coffee because we didn't have much and we kept soaking the lady fingers into soy milk. We did this in mainland Italy and had a proper Italian dude rate it, and he said it wasn't THAT bad and gave it a 7/10, probably the most proud any of us have ever been of each other lol Edit: it's late so I forgot to mention how great the vibe of this channel is considering how good everyone seems to be at cooking, then you try to do it yourself and you fail spectacularly. It's much more realistic and helps you have more fun in the kitchen!

Not gonna lie, tiramisu with a chocolate hazelnut topping sounds pretty damn good. If you're ever going to try again, I's suggest making the Lady Fingers about 1/2 to 1/3 as thick. The center will dry out faster, allowing it to absorb more when dunking.

Whether you are successful or not in your recipes, I’m really just here for you and your content overall. I don’t regret binging your vids after discovering you a couple weeks back. Just keep doing you. And hopefully I get featured from a instagram comment one day 😂

Don't worry about not managing to make something good from the first tries, I hope it doesn't discourage you from giving this another try some time and see how it goes! I'd love to see you make it good. I love watching your videos because they are very relatable in many ways and I think a large portion of your audience can agree with this. Keep up the awesome work, buddy!

Honestly this recipe reminds me of pudding and graham crackers or southern banana pudding with vanilla wafers. Basically just some kind of soft, sweet pudding layered with some kind of sweet cracker or cookie where the idea is it'll soak up the dry with the wet in the fridge and form a solid whole that you scoop out and eat.

I have JUST tried making tiramisu for the first time yesterday, before seeing this video! I think the problem with most of the recipes out there is too much heavy cream, as the recipe i tried was similar to PreppyKitchen's and used a lot of cream, but it just makes the tiramisu too runny and oily i think. Next time i try, I'll add less heavy cream and more cheese :D great video as always, keep it up!!

I really like the tiramisu recipe by cookingtree. I usually make it as dessert after grilling and so far everyone liked it ( me too, and i dislike coffee)

Awww baby. I make the best tiramisu outside of Italy. I learned to make it from my ex mother in law in Venice when she had me help her cook for Christmas dinner in 2019. Though we’re no longer family she taught me her Italian family’s recipes that I continue to use today.

you dont always have to perfect the recipes. as an amateur baker, ik how hard it is so a little unsuccessful attempt means nothing. its just a small step towards learning something new! 🌼

Don’t usually comment things like this but I’ve binged a lot of your videos over the past 2 days and it genuinely takes my mind off of what’s going on. The humor in the vids kills me, even the unintentional ones. When I saw the DIY Lady fingers 💀💀💀💀

Hey man, love your vids. For the crunchy ladyfingers, Savoiardi brand is the best. The two second dip on those will make them the right kind of soft while still holding the weight of the cream. Great job making them from scratch though!
