Pro-tip. Always go to CVS or Walgreens to stock up on bottled water. You need to drink lots of water in Vegas during the summer especially if you're drinking alcohol. A 1 liter bottle of water will cost you $8-10 in the hotel shop whereas its like $2 at the drugstore.

Better yet if you have your own car, go to WalMart or Costco for lots of cheap water. IMHO also the tap water in Las Vegas is very good cuz it's straight from Lake Mead.

Definitely. I actually found if you drive down to Whole Foods you can get big packs of Poland Springs. They seemed to be the only place that carried that water. I’ll be doing this every time from now on upon arrival.

My friends and I started the “mule” program. Lol. Two people drive to Vegas (from Denver) in the car is water, snacks, booze, a coffee maker, and a cooler filled with quick lunches (sandwiches, salads, etc.) the group that flys in pays for the three dinners and two breakfast. Then, whatever is left over is thrown away (or the booze is given to arriving guest) and the car is loaded up with the stuff acquired during the trip and redistribution happens in Denver. For 6 people we calculated the savings for the group. Nearly 800 bucks. I highly recommend the “mule” program

As an ex hotel front desk employee, I cannot express enough to never go through a third party for any booking of hotel, air, or rental car. If you actually talk to the front desk or go through the website you will always get the lowest price. The site and the employee sees the rates in real-time and can give discounts.

Tip: try to make all your purchases wether food or drink or room at one company.(Mgm ceasars, my choice, etc) and at the end of your trip take all your tickets to the m life desk and get them to add it to your players card as points and it all adds up. Sometimes they will honor even Starbucks or others if you ask. Do all your buying at company and keep receipts to redeem the points!

I live in Canada. I’m an underground hard rock miner at a Northern Ontario gold mine. It’s a fly in fly out mine and we work 14 days on 14 days off. So every two weeks I’m off for two weeks. I usually visit Vegas 6-7 times a year. Haven’t been since January but I’m finally booked for third week of August. I almost always stay at Excalibur. Always have a great time, they treat me very well and it’s a great location to go out and about from! I’m looking forward to my holiday! I’m confident it’ll be safe to visit!!

An add on to your tip about booking through the hotels directly: It is the only way to accumulate reward points. When you use a 3rd party site, you lose the ability to accrue reward or comp points with the hotels/ casinos. It might not seem like a big deal on the first visit, but just as an example my family and I went to Vegas for the first time and stayed for 4 days, and didn't know if we would ever go back when booking that trip, so I used a 3rd party site to book our trip. While I was able to save maybe $25 a night, I lost the opportunity to bank nearly $400 worth of points with the hotel loyalty program, so when we did wind up going back less than a year later, we were essentially starting from scratch on reward points.

Most of the large casino hotels do not include a coffee maker in your room. I bought a 1-cup coffee maker on line and found a source for the coffee packets. I just put the coffee maker in my suitcase and then set it up in my room. Super convenient and beats going downstairs and waiting in line to pay $ 6 for a cup at Starbucks !

I like your vids... I go to Vegas often, at least 4 times a year as a card counter and know my way around. I play blackjack at atleast 8-12 casinos per trip and get "backed off" 1-3 times per trip and play off the strip alot. I always rent a car... sounds expensive?... nah... my next 5 day trip car will cost $130 (shop it)... no Uber fees, no shuttle fees, free parking even on the Strip if you know where to go, groceries, booze and emergency items at actual stores (not the Strip CVS or Walgreens) cheap eats, laundry mat access (no luggage fee) visit local sites like Red Rock Canyon etc... most of all I can cram more into a short trip making my Vegas hours count. I know my trips are different than most people but the freedom of a rental car is a great way to save money and enhance a trip to Vegas. I am there "on business" so I eat cheap at off hours that most people don't mention like $5 sushi or broccoli beef chow mein at The Orleans, $4 steak and eggs at South Point, $7 breakfast buffet at Gold Coast, $5 lunch at Ocean 1 etc... so a rental car in Vegas is my best savings tip. I probably see more and do more tourism in a 5 day trip than most other tourists and log at least 30 hours of playing time. Also, if I book a room (non-comp) I go basic rack rate and tip the front desk a $20 bill between my license and credit card asking them to see if they have any more comfortable rooms available... I almost always get upgraded significantly.

Ill add a tip to your part about people snoring your with. For many years now i have slept with White noise or rain ext. I use my iphone connected to a bluetooth speaker and sometimes i use just white noise sometimes i use rain whatever. However if you're sleeping with someone that has to have it really quiet or maybe that's not enough to drowned out your snoring friends. I actually have a sleep mask that is Bluetooth and it has speakers built into the side of it. Now there are many different types on Amazon so I would try some different ones out first. I would do that before my trip and find a pair that work for you because some of the speakers are thicker and some there are really welcome and so if you sleep on your side some of them will hurt your ears while others are comfy. So then I connect to sleep mask to my iPhone or iPad and play white noise or rain etc. and let me tell you it has help me sleep many times when I was with someone either really noisy or they just got up much earlier than I did.

Booking through the hotel directly has to be one of the worst things you can do. Only time that is a good thing is when you specifically want that hotel properties points/perks. Best way to do it is make an expedia account or a third party account and book package deals (flight+Hotel stay) you will save the most money this way especially if you’re a member with said third party. For example I’ve been to Vegas three times in 2022 (Feb, March, May) and all three times I’ve flown out of Burbank airport and stayed 2 nights and 3 days for two travelers (gf and I) I’ve stayed at The Venetian, MGM Signature and Cosmopolitan and I’ve never paid more than $630 each trip thats round trip and hotel stay granted all three times were during the week but still way cheaper than the prices on the hotels actual website. I’ve even gotten some flight free because of expedia and recently I paid $24 to fly out from Vegas to LA on Expedia

I've been to Vegas many, many times and have always found way cheaper rates through Expedia. The caveat is I am Canadian. Upcoming trip for 12 nights at Bally's, Toronto to Vegas direct flight plus 12 nights was $1400 for 2 people. Just hotel for the weekend nights is $350 USD per night! Every time I book through Expedia it's like getting either your airfare or your hotel at no charge. Also for Canadians, be aware that you are comparing Expedia prices in $CDN versus Direct Hotel rates in $USD. What looks like a great deal direct from the hotel might not be once you factor in the exchange rate. This may not be the case for Americans, I would highly recommend Expedia if you are booking Vegas from Canada!

I haven't experienced this yet.. i always book through hotel, though we always stay either at ceasers or Bellagio, and always got wayy better prices. I check all the travel sites, Chase travel, and hotels website is always cheaper.. especially if you get member rates. You can't book with member rates through 3rd party websites. We have Bellagio booked now for new years, and booking direct i got prices way better. On lower end i saved about 400 bucks by going directly. This is after extensive research because I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it depends on time of year also.

I once was able to book flights and hotel in Vegas for cheaper than what the airline was wanting for just the flight mind you it was palace station and we did change the hotel but still even if I didn’t show up to the hotel the room made the flights cheaper than booking on their own only time I’ve ever saw it

So as a Vegas Local for the past 10 years and visitor for the last 28 years. #1 Tip for saving money in Vegas. DONT STAY AND PLAY ON THE STRIP! This morning my daughter and I had steak & eggs for $6.99 while we played Keno and got free drinks. Right by the Airport.

If you stay at Aria, NY NY or MGM, there's a Denny's on the west side of LV BLVD. My favorite place for breakfast. I just checked and there's 3 Denny's on LV BLVD.

When the COVID-19 travel restrictions from Canada end in year 2022, when I don’t have to wear a mask and can socialize normally... I’ll be back at Caesars Palace lying by the pool and bouncing at Omnia.

It is now much harder to "Re-check room rates Frequently". There has been a change to way M Life offers are displayed. Now, after you book a room with an M Life offer, the rates calendar will no longer display the discount rate for the dates of your reservation - showing only the standard (higher) rates for those dates. That makes it impossible to re-check the rates looking for a lower quote.

You missed on the Vegas buses, the best deal; the CX (and/or old WAX route). *** Airport to downtown for $2 ***. Route is Airport -> UNLV -> LVBlvd/Trop (MGM/NYNY/EXCAL/TROP) and then takes the freeway pretty much straight to Fremont St This is the **best** way to get from either the airport or south strip to downtown and back; and did I mention it's TWO BUCKS.

I've heard a lot of people not recommend the buses, but this is what I'm planning on doing ... Are they safe? I don't understand why they're so bad!
@Boffin55
@Boffin55 2 жыл бұрын
@@jessleigh4622 They're not bad. The Duece (up/down the strip) is a little annoying as it makes a lot of stops, but the CX is fairly good as an express.

I never packed alcohol in my bag but after the last trip a couple weeks ago, never offered a drink after hours on the floor gambling...so i will just run back to the room, fix a drink and go back. seems painful but when your wagering 1000's of dollars, and been doing it for 30 years, doesnt seem like a big ask to get drinks.

Here in Hawaii there is a travel company that offers $799 package for air fare + 5 nights in a hotel + 3 free meals / day for 5 days (no resort fee when you book with them) I checked airfares in some airlines + hotels, it’s cheaper to book in that travel agency

Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Your video editing skill is very good. Please don't be angry but I think you are a cuter version of Amy Schumer. I only subscribe to channels of people who actually stay and spend money in Vegas to support the industry. I try to visit at least 3 times a year from Canada and always try to learn more about Vegas through people like yourself, so, thank you! Good luck with your slots ventures! I just think slots are so boring. I'm more of a poker player.

An annoying issue with MGM currently is that if you've booked a room using a special MGM offer, you can no longer check back on the room using that same offer to see if the rates have dropped (without canceling and risking losing the room). I guess this may be possible by phone, but not on the website.
