Also something to add,when all of us started we probably used bricks from mega bloks (or some other bootleg/ripoff) and took all of the LEGO bricks you had left to build the set.

Good point - I didn't think of that one! Personally I never did that but I'm sure a lot of people have. Oh wait, I do use rip-off baseplates, which I am still using and even uploaded a review saying that I think they are better than Lego! Oops!

Bricks Craft 3rd is that there is big bits of blue tak showing. You know that sticky stuff used to stick posters on walls? It’s fine to use a bit to keep a lego part in place but to have large amounts everywhere that don’t get removed looks kinda bad. If you look at some pf AubreyStudios82’s videos, he uses way too much blue tak in his brickfilms

i only use one person to do voices in my videos because my family are busy. but when i edit my stop motions i add speech bubbles

Yeah it can be difficult, and sometimes people don't want to do a voice as well... but adding speech bubbles is a cool idea. The most important thing is that the viewers know who is speaking, and then as well as that you also want to be able to show the personality and emotions of the characters :-)

Very good channel! I just started stop motions a few months ago, but I’ve learned a lot from this channel. My set moves around when I try to take pictures, I use tape but do you recommend anything?

Thank you! :-) If you're using cellotape and it's moving around then try parcel tape, because it's a lot stronger. If you can get blu-tack / sticky tack then than can be a lot more secure than tape - I always use blu-tack. Don't forget to make sure the details are securely attached as well as securing down the baseplates. Good luck!

I made a Batman vs Spider-Man stop motion, and when there was grabbing scenes between the characters I tended to show the blu-tack a bit, I tried to limit it but when I did then the characters just slid off 💀💀

Oh yeah it's really tricky. I know the frustration of when you just use a tiny bit of blu-tack so it doesn't show and then the stuff won't hold together. And then sometimes it leaves marks on the minifigures or pieces afterwards as well!

For my stop motion vids that I don't post my set designs are HUGE and I spent a lot of work on them it's just that I have the regular classic Lego's so the sets are too colourful

But if they did jumps and flips on the bike then that would be something!

Can I ask you what do you use for the blue background? Special sky from Lego? 🤔

I usually just use a blue baseplate which I attached sideways. But printing out a background could be better because you can get a better sky blue colour.

Lol I sometimes notice blu-tack showing and then I have to delete a load of photos and go back and do it again! And sometimes I notice blu-tack smudges on my road base plates or on the tires of cars... it can be quite frustrating :-)
