I love Wyoming. It was our vacation spot for me and my late husband. We retired in Buffalo, because we love God's great outdoors and camping. Now widowed, I am back in Wisconsin. My dream of living in Wyoming, began when I was 12 years old. I love horses 🐎, cows 🐄, plus farming, and ranching. Beautiful scenery and climate. Winter not as bad as Wisconsin. Days not as sunny as Wyoming. Over the years, we have made many friends. God is good. 🤠🎉

In much of the state, Medical care and especially quality emergency medical care can be hard to find and very expensive. Most of us go to Utah, Montana, or Colorado for specialists. During the winter (November through April) the roads be closed at anytime. Interstate 80 is constantly closed during the winter so don't plan to go very far. Also, in the winter the roads are not well maintained and you know you have crossed the border into Utah or Colorado when the road suddenly is clear of snow and black ice, and safe. I have seen it snow in every month of the year and even seen the interstate closed in June and September because of blizzards. Even though we have a regional airport, the fares are so prohibitively expensive that most of us fly out of SLC or DIA. Again, many of us shop in Utah, Montana, or Wyoming as our choices are very limited. We don't have many of the 'big city' problems and the schools are well funded and teachers are appreciated. There is only one university, but there are many affordable community colleges. Wyoming is sure a beautiful place to live.

Good breakdown and sales pitch for moving here, and I love it here and our only regret is didn't move here sooner. You didn't mention Gillette, but this is a great community and haven't met a bad person yet since moving here. Kids ride their bikes around the neighborhoods without a worry, people walk around never worried about being accosted, and many things are close to how nice, friendly, and peaceful most of the country was 50 years ago where you didn't have to worry about thugs all the time like now in most of this country. There are many things I haven't yet done here, but I have plenty of time left to be able to get out there and enjoy. Besides, the winters aren't really all that bad for me, I have lived in northern Wisconsin and Colorado as well as worked in North Dakota and they are all snowier than here as well as WI and ND being far far colder.

As a Canadian if I ever have to move Stateside, Wyoming just went towards the top of the list :-) Sounds like up here 50 years ago. Thank you Alisha for such a positive but real presentation which will help a lot of people understand the pros and cons for them. I had an uncle, for example, who just didn't go to cities with less than 1.5 million people. When he attended my wedding many moons ago and we were in a city with only 100K people I realized how much he loved us LOL. That population density sounds heavenly! Frankly, so does the lack of silly gun laws made for deep urban situations like Vancouver or Toronto when Canada is mostly more densely populated by beavers and moose than humans....Well done!!!

Great video, I'm a transplant. I've lived on both coasts, almost drowned in both oceans (rip tides). Then lived in Colorado for several years, ending up working 10 miles from the Wyoming state line in Wellington, CO. I moved to Cheyenne to be closer to that job and now work and live in Cheyenne. I work outdoors too and the -30F down to -40F windchills are real and dangerous. FYI, Cheyenne is just over 6,000 feet elevation, higher than Denver. You just have to plan ahead and endure. The tradeoff is NO HUMIDITY in the summer months, I hate humidity. Oh yeah, you have to go out of your way to drown up here at 6k Elev. It happens, but you gotta go outa your way.

This year I've been to Wyoming for Holidays and just fell in love with that state. I like the kind of pioneer spirit Wyoming and its people spread. In Germany (where I come from and where I live) everything is forbidden.. you arent allowed to camp, to fish, to hunt, to own a gun.. there is so much regulation here, in Wyoming (especially during some hikes near Saratoga) I felt that Spirit of freedom for the First time. Back home I'm feeling kinda home-sick, wishing me back to Wyoming. I hope everything turns out Well, so I can move to Wyoming after my Masters Degree and assimilate in that beautiful state and become American one day 😊❤️🇺🇸 God Bless

Having lived in Casper for over 20 years, your review was spot on. I'd just like point that the cold winter temps are not all that bad because of sunny days and low humidity. What is bad is the frequent wind. Most of the larger Wyoming cities can boast that they are large enough to offer all services but without the big city problems like traffic. From downtown Casper you can be snow skiing in 30 minutes or water skiing/fishing in about 45 minutes. There's a lot to like.

@@JasonTaylor-po5xc "Water" should be the big concern in Florida. But it's not. South Texas has the Floridian weather and fifty years of being 'snow-bird' friendly but publicity only shows border issues. Heck, migrants to come across the border to stay in McAllen or Brownsville, Del Rio, etc. They go where the big companies who brought them over want them. And South Texas has four big hospital chains covering the region, so I give it big props. Hurricanes, though... while S.Texas has been spared, there's always gonna be A Next One.

@JasonTaylor-po5xc Жыл бұрын
@@bitfenix90 I agree with you if referring to South Florida - they have a large metro area drawing from the Everglades. The rest of the state has access to a pretty nice aquifer along with several rivers and natural springs - we also get a lot of rain. However, we are somewhat limited on land. I looked at Texas. I actually used to live in Del Rio many, many years ago. The problem with Texas is property taxes are among the highest in the country, which does offset no state income tax. I think I'm going to spend the summer driving around the country to figure out where I like the most and look into relocating there - or, perhaps keeping Florida as my base and just live in other states for a month or so at a time during the summer until the kids get out of school.

@@jeremynv89523that party was declared dead the day a orange man from NY 🗽decided to be a candidate, the surprising part is normally it's a boogyman from the south who can be such things not from a Yankee liberal state 🤔🤣

This was a spectacular video explanation. WY looks great. I'm debating between Wyoming or New Hampshire or Washington State for low taxes and high on nature.

We're talking about number 3. With that said, the socialist communist democrat party needs to stay the hell out of this state and not screwed up like they've done other states. I also own property in nevada, but that's a big butt now. One thing you kind of missed on this only 5 days of the year that the wind don't blow.

The wind hasn't been as bad now, but it definitely has its moments of having bad wind. So not ready for winter and the cold temperatures.

As election deniers, you have no credibility to tell people what to believe or how to vote. If you believe conspiracies that is on you. The fact that you didn't re elect Liz Cheney proves you don't believe in the Constitution.

I miss Wyoming. I grew up in Douglas, and as a young adult lived in Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette, Buffalo, Laramie, Jackson, Cody and Laramie. I permanently moved away in 1991. I believe I hold the distinction of having been fired from more Wyoming radio stations than anyone else. When I lived in Casper I lived at El Sid / Fox Hill apartments and last I checked it’s still there.
