Most of them and I am saying that from an Aussie perspective! The Greatest American Hero was massive; I sang the theme song "believe it or not I'm walking on air..." at the school Xmas song night. Honorable mentions: Secrets of the Unknown hosted by the guy who played Devin in Knight Rider. The HIghwaymen. A cyber punk truck cop show. It had an Aussie rules footballer actor Mark "Jacko" Jackson, yes the guy you saw as the Energizer Gonna Surprise ya ad!

BRO!!! NOOOO, every since the 90s (watching reruns in the Summer) till now I think about how I would finger tip it, go to bed for 8hrs, wake up clap (or however she undid it) and then go to bed for another 8hrs. Every time I want more sleep I think about wanting the finger tip time stopper. And why the heck did my inner voice say that like the retro movie commercial man voice?

The Greatest American Hero was one of the best shows. William Katt and Robert Culp was a great pairing, and it had a wonderful theme song, "Believe It Or Not". My favorite part was that Ralph was inexperienced and showed it. He had to learn how to deal with his powers and, still, stop the bad guys. It's why he was the Greatest American Hero.

@@TheReviewStudios ALF was one of the most grueling sitcoms ever made. Was ALF a muppet, or a midget? Creator/Producer Paul Fusco was so obsessed with maintaining the mystery, he worked the actors half to death to do it. He would have the director shoot a minute or two (maybe less), then rearrange everything, shoot a little more, etc. It took EIGHTEEN HOURS to shoot ONE episode. Actor Max Wright was so burned out from the show that, in the final episode, when the director said "CUT!" for the last time, Wright didn't bother to hang around for the "wrap" party. He just quit and went home.

I loved Pee Wee's Playhouse as a kid, it was probably my favorite for its time. I'm pretty sure it was this show (and his movie) that crafted my strange sense of humor lol. I just loved the randomness about it. Alf as well, I liked a lot but I can't believe how it ended. They clearly meant for there to be another season, but since that never happened, the ending pretty much felt like "yeah, Alf was dissected and murdered. The End." lol. Aside from Perfect Strangers, and Max Headroom, I only vaguely remember the rest. I remember "Out of this World" just because one of my favorite SNES titles was called the same thing. I remember watching Perfect Strangers when it came out but eventually fell off. I was surprised it had lasted as long as it did, and when I visited family in Los Angeles, one of the things they had for us to do was see a TV show being filmed as part of the studio audience. The show? Perfect Strangers! There was a multi-part series leading up to the ending of the show, where they all got married. We saw the fliming of several scenes, including one in a garbage dump where they were digging around for a lost ring.

I remember not minding ALF all that much. His side jokes were usually good for a chuckle or 2, as well as the running gag of him wanting to eat their cat throughout the run of the show. But mainly I remember it for thinking to myself there is no way in hell the character of the husband would ever be able to land a babe like that wife! Of course, this latter became a trope of its own with sitcoms like King of Queens and others that escape my memory right now.

I remember the greatest American hero fondly. One of the best parts of my fourth grade year was singing the song from it to my classmates.

A correction to your Max Headroom entry. There were several versions of this show. It started life as a 70 minute special broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK - it served as the origin story and was later remade as the "Blipverts" episode of the American made series that followed. There was also a different version of the show produced for Channel 4 in the UK. It focused entirely on the character of Max Headroom (the virtual reality DJ) rather than Edison Carter and all the other characters from the pilot and the American show. Max provided links and intros to a selection of music videos and occasional celebrity interviews. There were 3 seasons, 29 episodes and a Christmas special, most of which were shown on Cinemax in the US.

My favorite character was Blank Reg. He'd drive around the city airing pirate radio. We'd call someone like Reg "Off the Grid" today, but in the Max Headroom universe people who keep off the internet/socials are referred to as "Blanks"

The story of Max Headroom is so much more involved. There was the original "Max Headroom: 20 minutes into the future" movie (1985) which was broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK and was used to introduce the backstory of Max, who was set up as a futuristic Veejay for "The Max Headroom Show" (85-87), which was Max riffing music videos (remember, this WAS the era of MTV), for a UK audience. It was in 87 that ABC re-shot the original "20 minutes into the future" movie (which had just a couple of changes from the original UK version), and that led to the ABC version of the show (87-88) * WHEW! *

The entire concept from start to finish was part of the USA's starwars program. It was produced to make the Soviets believe we not only had interactive AI tech but that we were comfortable enough with the tech we weren't even keeping it secret we were playing with it for MTV. In reality it was a guy in a mask with some cheap cheesey grafix behind him.

Don't forget we also had Three's Company and family ties and The Brady Bunch and also Silver Spoons which was also fantastic and I can't recall offhand with the name of it was but oh wait yes I do Punky Brewster that was amazing awesome

This brought back an instant recall memory. I must’ve been 19, maybe 20. I was hanging with my buddy, Big John, and we were tripping hard on acid, we tried to watch peewee’s playhouse but had to turn it off after about 15 minutes because we were laughing so hard that our stomachs were cramping up. I totally forgot about this until just now, one of those crazy memories of being a carefree and semi crazy young man.

You mentioned Harriet from Family Matters but Carl was also on Perfect Strangers and the show was originally based on him as they were trying to cash in on Reginald Johnson who had play as a cop in Die Hard and Ghost Busters in fact they seem to type cast him of course they decided to focus on Urkle.

I was going to ask where the hell is Small Wonder and Manimal, but then I realized this was part 2. lol All that being said looking at both lists, you still forgot I Married Dora. A show where a guy marries his South American Maid so she can stay in America, all while warning us please don't do this at home. Maybe the greatest ending to a series ever(after 13 episodes) plus a young Juliette Lewis
