A look back at some of the most chaotic and controversial meetings between Rangers and Celtic.
The passion of the Old Firm derby is matched few places in football,
the most frantic game in the world bar none has had its share of "Shame games" as the media like to refer to them as while at the same time making their bread and butter out of showcasing the supposed worst of it. This video throws all that faux outrage out the window and celebrates the wildest aspects of the Old Firm.
Also feel like I might need to add a legal disclaimer to this this one... I absolutely do not support anyone going out and battering eachother over football on Old Firm day. Let it be the the most hate filled 90 minutes in football but don't take the Battlefever into the streets afterwards.

@@alanbbrady8196 He waited in the tunnel for him and Di Canion was already gone 😄 You may be a bit young to remember, but Ferguson didn't take it lightly and was ready to do him; Di Canio said in an interview that he wanted to wind up Ferguson and hopefully get him sent off, but he knew if he fought him that Ferguson would probably break his legs 😏 You can look it up 😎

I was in my early 20s when I attended the infamous October '87 game. I was born in London but my parents are both from Glasgow and I was with my Rangers-supporting cousins at the game. It was pretty frenetic but surprisingly most of the violence was confined to the pitch. Interesting video, my friend. I have moved on considerably since then, now living in the Far East, but the nostalgia is quite invigorating.

Your various clips remind me of boys from Govan, of roughly the same age, in Bellahouston Park kicking the living daylights out of each other in many impromptu 'fitba' matches (jumpers put down for goalposts). There was never a Referee so it was brutal and many legs, ankles, ribs, etc were broken alongwith many faces cut n smashed and disfigured. However, when it was tea time we all went home, then next day after school, it'd be a repeat performance night after night. They were formative times in shaping character. Those were the days!

Thanks. I was knicknamed 'Crusher' (playing usually at Centre Half) and known for crushing mainly feet. We wore our teams colours. Everybody was either Celtic or Rangers. So it was like an Old Firm Derby almost every night! Surprisingly, I have only 3 scars on my head and a broken nose ... but I have both ears, both eyes, all my teeth, 2 arms, 2 legs, all my fingers and toes! Think I was one of the lucky ones, LOL. Can't honestly say how the other lads ended up. Certainly not 'Pretty Boys'. LOL. Cheers.

Some of the best players in the world have played (long spells) at both these clubs. I don't think we will ever see as much aggression like we have in the last 20-30 years. This is definitely one of the bitterest rivalries in sport. It's different now after Gerrard and Rodgers.

I remember the nine in a row win at the piggery, best day of my life. Singing nine in a row at the ugly people and watching them cry. One held up a framed photo (straight off the living room wall by the looks of it) of Big Jock knew in one hand, and his small son in the other. He told the unfortunate offspring to spit at us on the way out as we passed the gap between the main stand and us. I was on cloud nine for months. 🎼Nine in a row hello, hello🎼.
