I love the 80s. Easiest villains to take out are shredder, and cobra commander. First shredder. He's the easiest to find. Stays in new York. Just track down the foot clan, and you'll find shredder Get the foot clan with krang to turn on shredder. He might be able to knock out a good portion of the clan, but not all of them. Next up is cobra commander. He's a bit trickier. He's all over the world. Track cobra activity, and you'll eventually find cobra commander. One would have to kill him, because he's ruthless and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Even if he has to sacrifice his own people. All the other 80s villains live on different worlds.

You also have to take into consideration that cartoons back then weren't allowed to show stuff like...death...even Venger couldn't mention it outright, even though in one episode he all but said "I"ma kill her" [not exact quote, LOL] A lot of Megatron's kills that were shown were in the Transformers movie, which means that different censors were involved. There were *many* in this list that if they weren't in Saturday morning cartoons, would have undoubtedly been shown as to have killed off far more than they did.

For a villain, Venger has always been the ultimate. His voice, courtesy of the legendary Peter Cullen, is second to none.

...except that "penultimate" quite literally means "second place" or "second to the final one". So Venger is the _ultimate._ Unless you include Tiamat. Tiamat kicked Venger's butt plenty of times, but I don't remember Venger beating Tiamat but once, maybe twice. But Venger had more personality than Tiamat did, so Venger's _my_ ultimate. ;)

@@Grigeral Tell that to Herakles/Hercules. The Queen of the entire Greek pantheon was his nemesis, even if the King of the Gods was his Dad. But maybe that's just because Hercules was quite literally a God Tier character, what with being 50% god and all. ;-)

Both *Skeletor* and *Megatron/Galvatron* are the reasons why I watch both *He-Man and the Masters of the Universe* and *Transformers* at the same time.

I would add Doctor Claw from Inspector Gadget and King Zarkon and Prince Lotor from Voltron, plus Erik Raymond from Jem and the Holograms (he was quite evil. all his plans to ruin people's businesses and lives, go back and watch him and see the times he hired goons to plant bombs, start home fires, fraud, grand theft, blackmail and even attempted murder. He tried so many bad things in that show) to this awesome list. They were evil and wanted absolute power.

If you count Doctor Claw, you'd also have to include Big Boss from C.O.P.S. There's also Miles Mayhem from M.A.S.K., General Warhawk from Rambo: The Force of Freedom and Stampede from Bravestar.

Tiamat was queen of the evil dragon races. She chased the kids around and unleashed her breath weapons in the direction of them, because that's what dragons do. But I don't remember her as a well developed antagonist.

Hordak is more powerful and evil than Skeletor but Horde Prime is more powerful than either but not a main antagonist so didn't make the list.

Being the "Most powerful" is not necessarily the strongest. Mum-Ra could be the strongest, followed by transformed MonStar. We know this because in current comics we saw Mum-Ra "kill" He-man(The most powerful man of the universe) with his own sword of power, on top of that, he arm wrestled him and even survived the attack of Skeletor after being turned into ashes. The creators of Silverhawks and Thindercats (The same people), once stated that when transformed, both Mum-Ra and Monstar acquire Superhuman strength, enough to make them impossible to solo them in battle, which is why entire teams of good guys are needed in order to take them out. Also, the "Most powerful" of all bad guys could be Unicron, the evil living planet that once fought Cybertron and Optimus Prime.

Loved your list. Venger was the most scary of all time when I was a kid. Later, when I read the comics, I knew that Cobra Commander is not a fool, and Mum-Ra is really serious.

Very impressive list...a lot of folks wouldn't go with Blackstar or Silverhawks. The only one I'd suggest adding would be Gemini from Thundarr the Barbarian. He wasn't on every episode but he was the only recurring villain, which kind of makes him the arch-enemy by default.

Not sure if anyone else has already mentioned this, but it seems as if many of the villains here have a purplish or bluish color hue. The same can be said for villains like Thanos, Apocalypse, Purple Man, & Darkseid etc... I spelled Darkseid the way DC spells it.
