Thanks for the reminder. Just got a new Masdevallia last week, first quarantined and found a snail for the first time. Yuck. Going to spray roots with hydrogen peroxide for everything in that terrarium. This is the first time I didn’t repot right away and I learned my lesson.

As always, your videos are very informative and useful. I had some spider mites on just one orchid that I recently bought and I bought some of the Bug spray from repotme and it worked like a charm. Luckily, from your advice, I kept that orchid separate from the rest of my orchids cause it was new. So I only had to deal with one orchid. I have over 80 orchids now. Also from listening to your advice, most of my Phals are blooming like crazy and branching. I am not sure if it is because of the Barrina lights or the repotme fertilizer. I just realized it has been 4 years since I have been watching your videos 🙃🙂😊 Time goes by too quickly.

I enjoy all your tips. Here in Australia we can use mentholated spirits to quickly sanitise tools. I also soak pots & tools in bleach/water mix for 10mins. Orchid Club ideas I follow.

Danny, I love your videos. Very informative. I am trying to grow orchids, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have beautiful healthy leaves and roots but no flower spikes. What should I do. Please advise

New orchid grower here and your videos are amazing. Question, a friend who has beautiful orchids recommended taking them to the shower weekly targeting the leaves not the buds. I also heard to spray with water the leaves and bark/moss daily. You recommendations seem different (and logical). Have you heard of these other methods? FYI I ordered supplies from repotme and they arrive tomorrow :)

I think Hydrogen Peroxide will also take care of fungus gnats, but you have to drench the potting medium with the solution.

I used cinnamon on my oldest orchid when one of her leaves was damaged but she didn’t last long after that bc she had crown rot n I did everything you said when I repotted her n she was doing fine for a while but I don’t know what happened she was a phal n her other leaves started dying off even her baby leaf too

Oh my God ! I have found one in my orchid! I thought it was just lost after the rain , but the plant is doing weird from the day I purchased it . I could never imagine it it's a pest in my plant !😢

Just FYI 97% isopropyl alcohol is not more effective than 70% for surface decontamination. 97% evaporates too fast. Just a tip from a mycology friend where preventing contamination is the #1 priority

Can I use lemon juice from a bottle that it says it’s it real lemon juice

Question: is it a problem if I used the cinnamon on the flower buds after cutting them in attempt to rebloom my orchid? Cause I see the flower bud is (extremely slowly) growing out from the previous "node" below the cut, but have I made a mistake to put cinnamon over the cut?

My Tolumnia, is growing a spike but it is 'looped' inside of the leaf sheath. It's getting longer daily but doesn't come out, so it just creates a bigger loop! I don't know what to do! I VERY gently tugged on it, but nothing happened. Any ideas? My Tolumnias are in very little sphagnum moss.
