Best tip I ever heard for when you hit the 90's - sounds obvious, but don't let anyone snap on you - everyone in the 90's is more cautiously climbing, so if they snap first then unless you have the nuts you're better off losing 3 matches by 1 cube and winning one match for 4 cubes. The climb will be slower for sure, but will be all the more harder to complete if you're staying in matches when you don't have the answers to an early opponent snap.

Well that depends on whether or not your playing a good deck and whether not you have your brown pants or red shirt on. I wear both and it got me to 95. Turn 1 snappers are maniacs, unless there's some deck that crazy broken ATM, you might want to stay (got a combo deck and your nut draw i'll stay) . @snapjudgementspod giving excellent advice, listen to him. (pss i am down to 91 calling turn 1 maniacs while I am playing Destroy and all Destroy cards being buried match after match, rngesus please, mercy!)

My protip for climbing to infinite is to keep a list of known bot names next to you. Always play aggressively against bots (snap back, etc.) and probably play more conservatively against humans. If you net out even against humans and get 4 or 8 cubes from bots then you'll steadily climb

As someone who has hit infinite nearly every season of last year, even I need these tips to be hammered into my head before a new season. I get caught up in the idea of having to hit inifite asap when it's much more nuanced than just making it happen. Appreciate the reminders of how this game is optimally played!

Even if I hit infinite each season, reading those tips sure brings back the fundamentals that some of us might not think about. I am not very competitive and I stop doing ladder once I get infinite, but usually it takes me weeks to get there. So these tips are very much appreciated.

My best advice as I have hit infinite almost every season I played is locations areSO important. Understand how each one affects your deck! Also..watch what your opponent is doing carefully..it's hard to do when you are focusing on your own plan

It's truly commendable to have a focus on delivering valuable content without compromising on the quality aspect. It's much more preferable to have a higher information to production quality ratio rather than the opposite.

A lot of players seem to think you only snap when you’ve got that winning play ready and as a result snap too late. Snapping is very much raising the stakes when odds are or appear in your favor. However, it’s ok to retreat if you feel your odds in a match have shifted due to locations, draws, or opponent plays.

Great tips! Knowing when to run is huge! Still have lots of room for improvement in terms of knowing when to snap more offensively but being better at running when things weren't looking good (which ultimately meant less 4 cube losses and very few 8 cube losses) was huge for me being able to consistently reach infinite.

theres quite a few creators like Alex who has a full time job, streams regularly for long sessions, and still manage to have decent production quality in their videos. as you can imagine that would be draining, and it is, and all of them bring up that fact at some point. I wuld say the majority of your returning viewers dont care that much if at all that your content isn't as flashy as that of many other creators in this space. and I can only speak for myself when I say Im really just here for the info and when it xomes to that you deliver, but i suspect im not alone

I am snapping without caring what rank I am. This month I was 8 cubes from infinity and lost 2 ranks. 2 days later I hit infinity. One night not lucky, next time - all the luck in the world. Nobody reaches infinity by getting 1 or 2 cubes from rank 93 to 100. Also playing different decks to complete dailies and stop after this doesn't help a lot, but it worls so far each month. Also for me the important rank is 90 to get the gold, infinity is just a bonus. The best tip for me is to play each game as careful as possible, but I don't think I'll be ever able to do that.

That is the toughest climb. One trick is to try not to snap unless you are extremely confident in winning, and not staying in games when the opponent snaps you back, again, unless you are confident. Losing 8 cubes really sucks in upper 90's ranks because winning is generally harder. Use a deck you are really comfortable with and play as much as you can. The more you play, the more likely you are to reach infinite. Think about it. If you are winning more than 50% of games, you should get there by just playing the game smartly. Retreating appropriately is your friend.

Tip #9 and 7 is the most important to me. I'm very conservative with my snaps, but I learned that it's very very rare that I win a game if my opponent snaps in turn 3-4. The biggest and easiest adjustment I made that made hitting infinite easy and consistent was literally just retreat more. I know you want to see what happens on turn 6, I want to see it too. But the thing is, you know what's going to happen. Whatever you think is going to happen is probably exactly what will happen on turn 6 if you know the deck you're against. You don't need to see the end of every game, just retreat.

Also the question on “why does the content loo so cheap” likely came from someone who doesn’t produce content. Your format is sustainable. Simple. Effective. Cuts out all the fat. You get right to the meat for the most part outside of your sometimes long winded intros (lol) that you deserve to do since this is your channel and you should be telling people what else is going on with you and your content. That’s one of the only ways small businesses can work and grow at the start. You have to be your biggest fan and billboard all the time consistently. Anyway that question rubbed me the wrong way I guess. You do you my guy. Keep it up.

Being proactive with your snaps when you have a good hand, and retreating quickly after they snap when you know you aren’t guaranteed a win takes a lot of experience and time but it’s definitely one of the most important and overlooked mechanics in this game. Knowing your deck is also a large part of it, so once you find something that’s decent just play it until you know it inside and out!

Legit amazing tips! Especially #5. I was retreating now for so long, just because I didn't understand how retreat later worked... Also, great answer on the Hipp Cyclops. I agree, there still isn't a cyclops I am in love with. Jim Lee is my favorite I guess, but a Hipp would be sweet. My answer would be Hipp Hela. I almost pulled on this week's spotlight cache but decided not to. I really want BRB but I have Elsa and don't want Galactus. Also next week's cache, I need Darkhawk and want Supergiant (that Zabu variant is nice too) so I'm pulling for that. I was debating since I have Darkhawk in my token shop but I'll let him go to get another series 4 (thinking Snowguard so I can finally play Loki effective decks). Hoping BRB pops up again in caches so I can get him at a later date.

Thanks for the tips! Especially as someone who focuses too much on the cards and forgets to snap 😂😂

Playing the same deck for a while, only playing when I feel good / stopping when I'm tilting, and telling myself that they have the perfect hand if they snap first has helped me get to infinite nearly every month. It does take time and it doesn't happen in 20 games.
