By far my favorite transformation is the first one in Colorado. Taking that new construction and the barren back yard to a serene and lovely garden is amazing. Painting the house, adding fences to define their space, hardscaping and planting beautifully designed garden made for very impressive landscape.

Being in the garden- cultivating, growing, trimming, digging- has brought me peace. I started because I’d just graduated college and needed a hobby 😂 but it’s been the perfect thing to carry me into marriage, into home ownership, into parenthood ❤

OK.....I've been 'planning' for 2 years to work on a few areas in my yard. This is the inspiration I needed. Thank you! I will be taking before pictures. Maybe next year, I can send the afters. :-)

I'm so excited to see less turf & more pollinator plants. We might have saved more bees & butterflies if we'd started 10 years ago but better late than never! Couldn't pick a favorite, all these folks did a great job!

Yes! Edges are where the interesting things happen, whether in the garden or nature. Beautiful and inspirational spaces everyone 💚 (Also Jim how nice to hear your recognize that the last landscape wasn't bad, and that it's important to know yourself as a gardener. Love the positivity!)

Number 1 was my favorite. I can't tell you how much we have enjoyed these. We are going through new hardscape and plantings right now and we have so many new ideas from these wonderful transformations. Our only worry is that now we may never finish because we keep getting new ideas. Thank you Jim and everyone that has submitted pictures.

You introducef me to my new brst friend: my trenching shovel. 😊 Removing hollies the size of those in Cary is no small undertaking. I had similar builder plantings which were in place for 20 years in Hillsborough, NC. Such a fun inspirational video. Thank you sensei.

I'm like others of your viewers seeing your influence in many of these newer ones. They're all great, but my faves are the first one in Denver, Glen's in Mass., that dazzler in Japan, and Daniela's Connecticut artwork. Saying that, I'm narrowing down to the Denver one, transforming a generic builder space to a wowza creation!! But just barely above the other gorgeous ones I mentioned. I'm following suit by learning in your classroom. Maybe soon I'll have good before and after

You 100% inspired me to use chartreuse too! I redid my front yard bed which faces north (part shade/shade) I put two sunshine Florida Illicium (one on each side of the window) and a Gold dust Aucuba in the middle and underplanted with different colors of heuchera. It really pops from the road and I am the only one in my neighborhood that has used these plants. I'm excited because they are supposed to be evergreen too in my OKC zone 7. Thanks!

The first garden transformation in Colorado- I would love any landscaper or hardscaper info of locals you used! I’m in north Denver area and struggling with trying to find a solution for the thousands of tons of rock mulch surrounding my house and love what you did! Gorgeous ❤

Hands down the best one was Glenn's because he didn't take out the whole lawn like most renovations do. The design is flawless and looks like it was always there. No offense, but I loved Bridgetts' original landscaping better - it ground the house and was symmetrical to the scale. I would have kept the old and enhanced it.

Thanks, Jim, for another amazing part of this series. I really enjoy watching everyone's vision and transformation. I especially love the last transformation, the one in Cary. That one is a stunner...turned from a typical (older style) large evergreen balled shrub design into a charming, welcoming, country-ish landing spot, where you'd want to sit and stay awhile. Thanks to all the brave gardeners for sharing their spaces with us.

I have a red brick colored house and I'm having a hard time knowing what flowers and plant colors to pick. Any recommendations would be wonderful! So far most flowering colors I bought have look lost or wont stand out with red brick.

I wonder if blue green shades of foliage would look pretty as accents. Flowers in the pale lavender to deep bluish purple too. If you like more drama, then chartreuse would stand out a lot. Red, brown, and orange in brick are complimentary colors to greens and blues.

In MANY places there are ordinances that dogs must be tied up. I know in one area HOA dogs must be tied up in yards when outside because fences are not permitted. Maybe their dog likes to take off on them, maybe their dog is only tied up when they are outside? This pup does not look abused or neglected!

This is my garden. He has free run of the yard, but we were having a driveway fence put up and we didn’t want him to get out as we live on a busy street. We also have leash laws and dogs have to either be fenced in or on a leash. It was just for a couple of days, and he had lots of walks, I promise! My dog has free run of the house and garden and doggie door. :-)

I was so busy looking at the garden and the plants that I didn't even notice the dog. As far as you not been able to watch anymore gosh that's terrible, You missed some pretty yards and gardens. So much ruckus over a situation that wasn't the way you assumed it to be. Assuming is never a good option for anyone.
