I was thinking that they should add a galarian tropius also! It's pretty much my favorite Pokemon and is terribly underappreciated. I feel like it was a missed opportunity to not make an alolan tropius with coconuts instead of bananas and add a different typing. But I guess they already did this with exeggutor...

Way too many of you don't know the difference between a Galarian form and Galarian evolution. People keep saying I'm wrong bc I said a Pokemon needs a Galarian form to get a Galarian evolution, citing Koffing as an example. GALARIAN WEEZING IS A GALARIAN FORM, NOT EVOLUTION. A Galarian evolution is a completely new SPECIES (Obstagoon, Cursola, etc). All Galarian evolutions' preevolutions are Galarian forms of existing Pokemon.

I'd still like the king and queen to get galarian forms. Keep nidoran the same nidorino and nidorina the same and make nidoking Psychic/poison and nidoqueen Fairy/poison. I dont believe we have a psychic/poison yet. And make them both special attackers.

And if you look at the pokemon shown most of them were final stage evolutions. But nidorino, zoroa, azurill, chansey, sealeo and beldum were the only pre-evolutions shown. Could this mean galarian forms of their evolutions are coming? Blissey probably not. But the rest could very well be getting one. Which would be awesome.

I had an idea for a regional variant of Tropius in a fangame I wanted to make a while ago, which was an Ice/Dragon type physical attacker. Every single leaf on its body has become a sheet of ice, acting like a large shell covering the Pokemon's backside. The leaf wings have become massive ice spikes on their back, and the fruit have become icicles that fall and regrow, while the underside and skin of the Pokemon was replaced with draconic scales. I don't remember a reasoning for the dragon scales aside from maybe the species commonly breeding with dragon types, leading the offspring to slowly evolve to retain draconic attributes such as scales. It's possible abilities were Snow Warning and Intimidate, with Huge Power as a hidden ability. It would get several slamming moves as it levels up, and later in its life it would get moves like Icicle Crash, Dragon Rush, and Heavy Slam. It is described as a generally peaceful, social Pokemon that live in mountainous areas in large groups and are believed to be the cause of several avalanches. They are incredibly docile to humans, but they become aggressive if anything tries to get at their limited supply of food. They stockpile food in their caves and care more about food than anything else due to there not being so much up in the cold mountains. Some adventurous Tropius wander down the Mountain to collect food, and those Tropius are well loved by others in their community. It would have also been the ace Pokemon of one of the gym leaders.

They + are = they're =/= their Mistakes exist to learn from them, so not criticizing mistakes is just missing the point and that mistake might be made in more serious contexts, when being capable to write in English might actually matter. Yes, it's a vague explanation and probably a bit exaggerated, but you never know what random shit's going to happen in life.

Driftloon. It went too High and became Ice Type. Or it went too Far and became Dragon or Psycic - sounds weird, but listen to the Why: If it's isolated enough it might find Powers in itself AND/OR find a Mentor of another Species! Thus becoming either Dragon or Psychic... or something... get the Idea? Isolation can change someone, getting a Mentor can change someone, and having both in sucession happening to you can really drastically change you!! And Trapinch just deserves it all. It can obviously just adapt it's Hunting Style, that is totally Desert Focused and makes no sense at all anywhere outside the Dessert.

@@Luigifan18 Bazelgeuse is a Large Monster from Monster Hunter World. He is in the "Flying Wyvern" category. His main attacks involve flying in the air and dropping explosive scales on the ground that can explode. He also drops these when using his normal ground attacks. These can inflict Fireblight, which causes damage overtime and can be removed by rolling a couple of times.

for tropius being part steel, I have an idea based on blimps and the industrial revolution: by adapting to the heavily industrialized region of galar, galarian tropius learned to lose its leaves in favor of a protective metal shell. The sugars it once produced while being a plant have now been converted as highly reactive sugar based explosives for defense. Although it can fly by storing gases, galarian tropius isn't as fast or agile as its hoenn counterpart

@@D0c1251 indeed, but they're not classified any differently in the pokédex. I think the dex entry is mostly because the names don't match the typings of the galarian forms, so the entry makes it more logical. Nothing is officially confirmed yet, so we'll have to wait and see, but I don't think it automatically means they're a completely new species.

I came up with an idea for an ability for Trevenant family. It doesn't count as a variant (or it could be though) but I thought it would be a good idea so here it is: Phantump and Trevenant from a certain place who would still have the same typing than before but with the ability called "burnt wood" When the Pokemon use or receives a fire attack, it would lose their Grass Typing and replacing it with fire and cause a change form. Those Phantump would not be the spirit of lost kids but the manifestation of forest fires through sentient beings. They would go from calm to wrathful but lose the fire type when using or receiving Water attacks. Is it a stupid idea?

i know this is really late but i think a good concept for the tropius is that, when it reached the crown tundra it was so cold that its leaves dried and solidified. so tropius picked up peices of metal from the ground then stuck them on to its body using water and putting it in between the metal pieces to freeze the water and became a steel type. And because of that it was too heavy and lost its flying type. its secondary typing is Ice because it used the ice to stick the metal on to its body

I have a Galarian form for Snorlax and munchlax, munchlax could be in a white and fancy shirt, the male would have a bow on its neck and the female with the bow on its head. But when you evolve it the male has a regal outfit that consists of a blue suit with gold and red cape, the female will be thiner than regular Snorlaxes and have a giant hoop skirted dress that is gold to represent the history of clothing in the 1800’s in Europe. But the shiny will give the male’s suit a dark emerald green with gold, the cape would also be red, the female’s dress becomes a beautiful light blue yet the body for both is the same

Another neat concept for a galarian forretress could be an ice/bug type living in the crown tundra. Maybe in the past, the crown tundra wasn’t so cold, and a bunch of Forretress lives there. But over time, it cooled off, and the trees that they take materials from all became frozen, so instead, it lives in caves where they soak themselves in bodies of water, and then exit the cave into the freezing air, and the water covering their bodies hardens into an icy shell. They also attach icicles hanging from cave ceilings to their bodies to help deter predators, since their new ice shells aren’t quite as protective as their tough steel ones they had previously. This form could have a lower defame stat, but a higher attack stat. It could have a new ability, icicle armour - functionally the same as iron barbs - and it could gain access to moves like ice ball, icicle spear, megahorn, and icicle crash. If you read all this: thank you! And hopefully you thought it was a cool idea.

I know I’m really late on this, but I also came up with some regional variants, including Camerupt, Cacturne, and Magcargo. Except Camerupt became an Ice/Ground type based on the snow camel, Cacturne became a Grass/Psychic type based on the brain cactus, and Magcargo just became a Rock/Poison type. I also made regional variants of Durant (Bug/Fire based on the fire ant), Heatmor (Fire/Water to combat Durant’s Fire type), and Noctowl (Ground/Flying based on the burrowing owl).

I'd imagine that your version of Galarian Sharpedo becomes a fairy type and will feed on a new water dragon type microscopic plankton pokemon that groups up to attack similar to Wishiwashi. It's would have a new dragon type signature move that they use, which your new Sharpedo would be immune to, allowing it to feed on them safely. Maybe this new dragon is based on the Kinorhyncha (Aka Mud Dragons)

Unpopular Opinions of mine... Make Ice resist Bug, Grass, Flying, Dragon and Dark. - Most Bugs do not like the Winter. - Most plants are inactive in the Winter. - Birds usually fly to warmer areas during the Winter. - Dragons are similar to many prehistoric creatures, and some believe the Ice Age killed many of them, Dragon is already weak to Ice, why not give Ice the resistance. - Dark in Japanese is Evil... some nations describe Hell/Underworlds as icy... and bad behavior is seen as "cold" (cold shoulder, cold blood, ice box, thin ice, blistering cold, bitter cold). Remove Flying weakness from Grass. - Birds may eat fruits and seeds from trees and some plants but usually do not damage them. (Crop and plant destruction is usually from insects.) - Not all Flying Pokemon are Birds either. Make Grass resist Fairy. - In many fictional lore, fairies are usually gentle to nature, or live in forests or around plants. Make Fairy weak to Fire. - Fire can be destructive and harmful to nature where I assume fairies would live... also fairies are like Magical bugs anyways. Make Steel weak to Electric. - Metals are usually very conductive.

My idea for Tropius Galarian would be that, Two tropius of opposite genders were taken into a lab by a team of mad scientists. They added the steel items to the Tropius's body so they could be stronger, Adding bombs and removing their bananas on their chin, they release them, and they started breeding, then it became a Galarian version of Tropius because of how widespread it became. its combined stats would be 565, They would be, HP: 100 Attack: 100 Defense: 100 Sp. Attack: 70 Sp. Defense: 90 Speed: 115 50% Male 50% Female It also gets a signature move called "Fruit Bomb" Named because it use to have fruits on its body, now he has bombs, so.. it made sense to me.
