allie burne is it strange for the Mongolians that the traditional Mongolian used wildly in China but not in Mongolia?
@allieburne4138
@allieburne4138 7 жыл бұрын
TMRSH Nagii, it is not strange at all, Mongolia adopted cyrillic in 1941 due to Soviet influence. Soviet government built high schools and university based on russian education system. more than 90 percent of people became literate at that time. It;s not that bad in the end, we still learn traditional script in high school and its compulsory. Everyone can read and write but we don;t use it everyday. Comparing to the dominance of chinese language in inner mongolia, it is really nothing.
@hellohello1247

allie burne what does it mean? Inner Mongolian speak in Chinese instead of Mongolian?
@allieburne4138

TMRSH Nagii i didnt say inner mongols speak chinese instead of mongol. But it is true that there is overwhelmingly pressure to use chinese language. Even many inner mongols cant speak or understand fully mongol language. However, despite seeing their problems, they are good at criticizing us, mongols that we abandoned our script.

Along with the Turkic languages, Mongolian belongs to the Altaic group within the group of the Ural-Altaic languages. To the Ural-Altaic languages belong Hungarian and Finnish too. Both Hungarian and Finnish belong to the Finno-Ugric languages within the Uralic group, within the group of the Ural-Altaic languages.
