This led me deep into the hobby again, and I’m learning so much from Reddit and not least your channel! I’ve started collecting 151 and this is so nostalgic to me. I’m teaching my two year old daughter the names and it’s so wholesome for me to see her enjoying Pokemon as well ❤️

You are so spot on with what you said! The secret to making money with pokemon cards is not buying when they're in the hype. Buy when the cards are undervalued, then sell in the hype. I have a good eye spotting gorgeous IR's and SIR's that seem too low. I'll buy them at the right price, grade them or keep em raw, then sell when they spike. I pulled both Iono and Perrin, not eevee yet. But i bought eevee around 40 in May-June. Didn't grade them and flipped all of them when they hit 65. Once the cards go up 50% or so, most tend to stabilize or go down. Rn it's sitting at 58 dollars average. But u can find them at 50. Another thing to keep in mind is supply vs demand. For example, Sam's is dropping those 40 dollar 14 pk premium boxes in store soon. When this happens, i predict all the top cards will drop even lower than they are now. While I'm out buying those Sea&Sky boxes, I'll be studying the overall market. When prices get low enough, I'll buy up the cards. Then sit on them for a month or 3 and sell. I'll determine if it's worth grading or not as I'm not sure how it will affect the graded prices. Anyway, good video and thx for the opinion/predictions!

My favourite set is EX Delta Species. I absolutely love how experimental the entire Delta Species era was. The set itself was beautifully coherent, every single pokemon has been portrayed around Holon Tower facility or with the tower in background (with the exception for ditto mini-collection). There is also a story behind this set and my pokemon card adventure. After many years of break, I'd already been a teenager and I'd discovered a toy store with pokemon packs and singles. The owner was a nice dude. I had barely any idea about new cards, it was completely new to me, but anyway I've decided to buy 3 EX Delta Species booster packs (it was probably the most up to date set of that time). I've opened them and bro, there was a Metagross Gold Star inside. I've read before about those ultra rare cards, but I couldn't believe that after so many year I was able to buy some random packs and hit a jackpot. You can imagine that during that event my brain rewired in a weird fashion. I was totally hooked, until my cash ran out, what could've been predictable for a teenager. It's still my favourite set up to this day.

My favourite set of all time is 151 hands down! so nostalgic and growing up as a gen 1 kid it was so fun to open. Something positive that happened recently is my fiancé and i welcomed 2 happy healthy twins into the world. We also did it all by ourselves in the comfort of our living room which was a magical/powerful experience. Very blessed and grateful at the moment and hope everyone in the comments is catching some blessings lately too. 😊

I've just got home after a two-week school camp, taking 90 15-16 year olds through Central Australia. Many of these students hadn't ever been camping - but the resilience, respect, and tenacity they showed to everyone and everything they encountered on their camp was phenomenal! Oh, and one of my favourite sets has to the be Japanese Squirtle Deck promo from 1999 - the Growlithe and Arcanine cards are so cool 🤩

My favorite set of all time has to be Call of Legends because it’s a set that pushed me to get back into collecting when I found an old box of cards containing mostly Call of Legends cards from my early collecting days. They had been in a box since 2012 when I exited the hobby for the second time, and are the cards that resparked my interest within the past year. I’ve been collecting like crazy again ever since! One incredibly positive thing that has happened to me lately is my grandma making it through a major open heart surgery last week. She happened to be the one who sparked my interest in Pokemon when I received Pokemon Blue for Christmas the year it released on gameboy

I love 151. One good things that happened to me recently was I recently acquired singles of the Magikarp and Eevee's illustration rare featured in the video and Sylveon VMax alt art was my very first pull when I started collecting Pokemon cards. I plan to collect more illustration arts.

I collected from 99-2004, now 20 years later my daughters want me to help them open a shop, so over the next year they are going to have me buy them some unopened product..😅😂🤦🏻‍♂️ they love opening packs. My favorite set is Japanese 151. It got me back into collecting again since the late 90s and was the first introduction to my 3 year old daughter when we were visiting Japan in June. Now she’s hooked on all things Pokemon and is having a blast filling up her binders. A great thing that’s about to happen on Monday is having our IVF transfer. It’s been a rough journey but we’re looking forward to expanding our family and hopefully having another Pokemon fan!

Favorite Pokémon is Charmander. Favorite set is Surfing Tides, the garchomp artwork is insane. And recently I found some old cards that even though they don’t have monetary value have emotional value as they belong to my brother.

My favorite set at the moment is Lost Origin, because then I just came into the hobby and opened the packs, I got Giratina V, at first I didn’t even realize that it was an expensive card and kept it in my wallet, and only then when I found out its price I realized my good luck. This card and this set made me fall in love with Pokemon cards. She introduced me to wonderful people and left a mark on my life :)

My favourite set is Neo Revelations ✨ - the amount of nostalgia I get from the Suicune pack art is insane. I remember opening up this set on a holiday in America after I almost drowned at Wet’n’Wild (lol). Favorite set has to be Astral Radiance, it’s the first set my gf gifted me while I was going through a rough time in my life and it sparked my love for Pokémon again. Now a few years later I have 2 cards left to complete my master set and I’ve completely turned my life around for the better 🙏🏼

Pokemon 151 got me back into collection pokemon cards. Never had much money as kid so this set really hit the nostalgia spot. Traded in a couple of graded cards for the Charizard TCG box but going to be keeping them Evolving Skies and Fusion Strike packs closed.
