hi ana! can you do a video about non attending - working students? how to manage work and study and how to study best even when you're not attending classes cause you work full time! I could really use the help! thanks
@AnaMascara7 жыл бұрын
Hi girl! I am also working full time but I am taking night classes. Can you please explain a bit more your situation? So you are registered for day classes but do not attend them? Are they recorded? Do you have powerpoint slides or a textbook as part of the class material? I will be better able to help if I understand better what's going on :) Thank you!! 😊😊
@silviasaintgold7 жыл бұрын
Ana Mascara hi ana! yes I'm currently taking my post graduate degree in italy (2 years) after 3 years of undergraduate degree where I attended classes. right now I have the necessity to work so for my last two years I'm doing exams as non attending students. attendance is not mandatory in fact all the exams materials are available online, still the professor may give useful info in class especially for exams. I was wondering how you manage to study and also working full time cause I'm losing my mind a bit here 😂

I really did. I chair PhDs at an online USA University and I know that people look down on students who are doing online degrees. And this is very unfair. Keep up a good work with providing useful information.
@AnaMascara6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I know that to be true in Canada as well. I used to work in HR and online degrees were indeed looked down upon..especially at the PhD level. But with dedicated professors and quality programs I'm sure that will change in the future. :) Thank you once again for your support & for the guidance you offer your students.

This is a great idea Lina! Thank you so much for requesting it. I will see what I can do on the topic. :) Wishing you the best of luck!! Excellent points!! Some I never even thought of. I just finished College-10 courses full time. So in school/learning mode. Signing up now for University Distance Learning...it raised a few questions I will research. I am totally a visual learner. Going to check and see if my university offers this online.
@Pioneersubwoofeer6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally relate to what you said " Judge you learning preferences prior to picking a class", I never got it the first or 5th time a teacher teaches me something because i would be thinking about the shape of the clouds today looks like a cat lol but as i soon come to realise that If i couldn't learn from a person maybe i should read to myself and mould over information and details and I found out that I like studying in solitude with noise cancelling headphones on :D Point of this paragraph is you have to experiment with what learning style you will be able to execute each and everyday without having to put too much effort in trying to stiffen up and forcing yourself into that ideological image thats all great video loved it and hoping for more great vids

I completed a doctoral study program online. The motivation has to be there to push you to succeed. My advice to anyone currently doing an online program is to start your assignments and discussion posts early. Work everyday on the discussion posts and the assignments. The due dates for the assignments may seem far, but the come up sooner than you think. My school did not take kindly to late submissions, so I made it a point to submit my work 1 to 2 days before it was due.

Hi loved one! Question: How do you study for an exam that you know is in written response format ONLY...... AND... the professor lectures in an unorganized fashion. I'm taking philosophy this summer and I'm freaking out. This is a subject that I LIKE, but the way my professor lectures and the essay only questions are killing me. I've never felt so lost.
@AnaMascara7 жыл бұрын
I TOTALLY feel you. I really hated my philosophy teacher and felt discouraged on the exam. :( What helped me was reading the material for the class AND going one step ahead like watching videos on the topics covered (or written on the Syllabus) or buying books that I would read for pleasure. If it is a subject that you genuinely like and are interested it, don't let the teacher destroy that passion! (I know because I've had that happen to me many times). ANDDD with your accumulated knowledge (from outside the course) USE IT in class - ask questions - participate. And in that way you would have the power to direct the professor during his/her lectures a bit (to make it more organized let's say). I hope this was helpful 😊❤️🌼💐 YOU GOT THIS!!!!

hi ana, any tips for purchasing new glasses?, since 2012 i have bought about 3pairs of glasses, my current one has 1 arm currently, no nose guard, & electrical taped up, quite a sight to see, what would u recommend? my optometrist said no contacts for me, and i usually buy the more metal sleek looking frames, what would u advise dear sweet ana?
@AnaMascara7 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim!!! What a coincidence - I'm shopping around for glasses as well right now. Mine are super old and starting to fall apart. If I find something worth sharing I will do just that ^___^ What's your prescription? Mine is pretty bad :( and I also can't wear contacts. But I don't mind glasses - I like mine a lot 😊
@philipthethird68327 жыл бұрын
Ana Mascara are you so accident prone with your glasses? since I broke 3 of mines since 2012! I forgot my prescription really, I think im mostly 25% near sighted, I have to call and ask, ill send you my prescription ;) I think any glasses would suit your pretty face ana ;) I think u should try the "potter" glasses or the classic peter parker/clark kent glasses
