10 Quotes to Help Creative People Feel Better

There is a lot of uncertainty in this world, and there's a lot of pressure on everybody. Pressure makes diamonds, right? Yeah that's inspiring but I'd kind of like to feel good sometimes and not crushed.
This one goes out to all the creative people out there. I hope these quotes from Ed Catmull, Dr. Laura Markham, Twin Peaks, Hayao Miyazaki, Shakira, Demetri Martin, Napoleon Dynamite, ABBA, George Lucas, and Ernest Hemingway are helpful to someone that needs to hear them. There are many days where I did!

As a creative person, I try to come up with original ideas for my channel. Its kind of hard to in this community, with everyone copying and plagiarizing content. But it’s great to know that there are still many original creators out there. Thanks Matt.

This was such a lovely, lovely idea for a video. I’m definitely going to be holding onto some of these quotes for future reference when I’m knees deep in editing and realize half my footage is missing and my dog has chewed up my model trees. Thank you for these kind messages. I am at the moment writing a book and I started it writing it in college and still not very far into it. But since I’m now finished college I’m doing it at home and I only do it when I’m by myself, probably because I feel like a special wild animal that prefers the perfect comfort to do it. One of my favorite and honestly best bits of advice is from Mark Twain. I can't remember the exact way he said it, but it boiled down to "write what you know". In his case, he grew up in the deep south, so he wrote about it. It's solid advice because it also kinda implies don't write what you don't know, and a step further, if you don't know enough to write about it properly, LEARN.

I’ve been a fan of yours for years, back from the lift bridge days, but I’ve never been able to find others who have the same Thomas interest as me, do you know any groups or ways of meeting other Thomas people? Thank you! In 2018 I went to my first train show as an adult and I posted some pictures on my Twitter, and 2 people I hadn’t met before messaged me telling me that they were there too! I’d say finding model train shows is a great place to start. This weekend i reserved my own table at a train show in Edison New Jersey to sell some things. I’ll probably meet a lot of new Thomas fans that way!
