And at the risk of a shameful plug, I just uploaded a video yesterday about where to take Mom on Mother’s Day, and there were some neat places that I learned about while researching that really, are neat places to take our moms other times of the year too ☺️. Love Shady Maple the best place to go and eat and as well the Amish home made whoopie pies can't out eat those they are really good

Brandy Francisco thanks for letting me know about the moon pies:). I’m not sure I’ve had those unless it’s the same as whoopie pies? Those are one of my favorite desserts:)! Shady Maple is such an amazing place especially considering how they started at a roadside stand!!!

Brandy Francisco oh that’s totally fine! I’m pretty sure some people call them that ☺️😃. Have you tried different flavored ones? Traditional chocolate is my fav but I also love the ones with peanut butter type filling and also the pumpkin whoopie pies tho they are super sweet!!

@@ElleLiving Their home made popcorn 🍿 😋 Unfortunately everything is closed on Sundays , not much to see , I would love to see them in action during weekdays, maybe in a next time , this was my 3rd road trip to them , I've been to one in Maryland and one in Ohio.

@@catrashoo yes unfortunately there are only a few places open on Sundays and even Mondays. But the beautiful farmland and valleys are always open to see 😍☺️👍. I am curious if you cld tell any obvious differences bw the Amish in Lancaster and the ones in other states?? I believe the women’s prayers caps in Lancaster are special to the area (heart shaped) and Lancaster also has black buggies for the most part, I’m pretty sure. And scooters are more preferable than bikes in this area too. But I’m not an expert, just a huge fan 😊😍👌

I live close the Amish people , they don't care the horses , Summer is very hot , they go any place with the poor horses , winter a lot snow very cool , it's very pretty , but I feel like horses !!

Ha, no, though I certainly wouldn’t mind some free whoopie pies once in awhile 😂😆😋. This brings me joy - I just LOVE talking about Lancaster and spreading the love ❤️!
