Will probably be at least 2026 before a new Xbox comes out. I just grabbed a used series s off eBay for under 200. If it works well, win win and you get a couple of years of gameplay until next gen.

This is a digital only console box and to be honest is mostly for people that want to use Game Pass. If you aren't interesting in paying for Game Pass or you don't like things like the games coming and going and having to finish them on a certain time etc that Game Pass has then i would suggest against it. Technically you could buy digital games as well but the SSD space won't last you for long(they now made a black one with a 1TB SSD but that is more expensive) and the propriety SSD's Microsoft came up with are so expensive that it defeats the purpose of buying a cheap console since you could buy an SSD at half the price for a PS5. So yeah, it basically makes mostly sense only for those wanting a Game Pass machine.

One point to add especially if you get the series s, even if you just buy digital games, get an external hard drive to store your games so you can transfer them back and forth instead of always needing to redownload them again.

It does the job i guess, especially if you still have an HD TV instead of a 4K but to me is completely useless because it basically an upper tier Game Pass machine and i don't agree that Game Pass is great. I don't like services like Game Pass. You will be paying every month and probably for the higher tiers so you can play games as they release and it will get more and more expensive as it goes(all this services do) and after5-6 years of constantly paying if you stop paying you are left with nothing and a useless box. If you invested that money buying games you will always have those games and you don't have to constantly keep paying or be left with nothing. Not only that but games coming and going is definitely not my thing. I don't just play games in a month a finish them and move on. I have a busy life. I might need 2 oe 3 months to finish a game. If it's a big game i might be playing it for half the year or more. I don't need the anxiety of "finish this game or else it won't be here in 10 days". No thank you. I prefer owning my game and playing at my own leisure.

You mean used? Because i certainly don't find any 3060ti at that price. Also i don't think getting a 3060Ti will make you play anything. You kinf of need a CPU and motherboard and Ram and an SSD and a PSU and a box to put that all in and possibly a monitor and a keyboard and a mouse, maybe a few fans and a CPU cooler. I think you get the picture.

Not worth it unless you are crazy into Game Pass because this is what this think can really be used as.

bought an xbox series s along with razer controller sitting in my car just hesitating if i should just return and wait for the 2024 xbox console to drop in june but the web browser segment got me, the fact you can do homework + have no issues gaming is insane, + quick resume. its literally the best bang for your buck. im changing my mind and going to go get it from my vehicle, screw not playing the game.

If you’re talking about exclusives then go with switch or ps5. Switch for gameplay and ps5 for an interactive movie. Xbox can’t compete with that. The true value with the S is gamepass and the stuff he mentioned. You’re looking for a games list. Most 3rd party ones are available in all platforms.
