It's definitely not a perfect chair, but it still suits my needs better than anything else on the UK market. I have no problems using it for work or gaming.

Not being able to cross your legs is a positive, given its bad for your circulation. I think overall the inflexibility of the chair is kinda the point, its to force you to maintain a good posture. At least this my hope as I'm considering getting one.

I'm looking for a durable commercial-grade office chair because I sit for many hours of the day. It must have: 1) extra thick seat pad cushion (not mesh) to sustain years of constant sitting and 2) adjustable arm rests that turn inward because I like my arm position next to my body. Can you recommend any chair?

The Aeron Remastered and the Classic are both really amazing. Cannot beat the recline and the adjustability of just about every aspect of what’s important for tasking or relaxing. Getting a Remastered on sale is the key to feeling even better about the choice if you’re going that route.

Besides the cross leg seating (which is still somewhat possible for me on the C as a 6' person), I dont see any others being an issue really. I opted to go for the aeron instead of the embody because of longevity and dont regret my decision (after testing both). My biggest complaint I have is that the armrest dont lock in place hard enough. If I'm moving in/out of the chair or just moving the chair and I end up holding the arm rest, they will adjust (depth and width) involuntarily.

I had 2 Areon chairs for years thinking it was the best chair. After years my lower back started hurting, didn't even consider it was my Aeron at Home, and at the office. Then the day came when we were moving our office to a different location and I saw the Herman Miller Embody Gaming chair thought it was cool so I bought 2 of them for clients that came into my new office for a visit, since our new office was not quite ready had the Embody chairs delivered to my house, well one thing lead to another and I used one of the Embody chairs at my office at my house, and within a day or two my back pain started going away, here we are 2 weeks later and the pain in my lower back is almost gone, and so are my 2 Aeron Chairs 1 went to Goodwill, and the other I sold cheap just to get rid of it. Never looking back

I have had an Aeron for years and it is absolutely wonderful. I am ruined for all other chairs. :) I have fibromyalgia and sitting for a long time is very painful for me, except in the Aeron. I can game for 14h straight, although I don't have that sort of endurance anymore. 1:55 You seem to have missed a few of the adjustments available.

I'm in Melbourne Australia and chair shopping at the moment. There's a second hand store with some aerons not too far from me. Going to try them tomorrow. Otherwise can't seem to find anything else that I can actually test sit in... Down side as well is a lot of places offer returns for store credit only and have a really narrow range. Oh well. Hope I like the Aeron. Cross legged thing might be an issue but i have short legs for my height. Might need to figure out how to get the Atlas here as well.

I see only 3 reasons not to buy a aeron, if you don't like mesh (even though aerons mesh is something else and to me mesh seats are a acquired taste). You live in a very cold country and you don't have heating. If you NEED to seat cross legged.

One more con: I love the chair, but it's not easy to clean it. Dust tends to collect in various nooks and crannies under the seat and behind the backrest. It's a little thing but sometimes annoying.

I’ve bought a used classic aeron and I like it - granted I didn’t try any other high end chair so I can’t give an opinion on those. Kinda wish I could’ve found a used embody as that seems cool but I’m not disappointed.

Alright I am 35, 173cm/5'8 75kg-165lbs and I've got minor scolioses and genetic lower back problems and I work and play and I live at my computer.. I went to a store today to try out the Aeron and the Embody chair.. and I must say I do not get why the Emody Chair supposed to be so good. My main problem with the chair is the lumber support. it is very pointy and aggressive and takes away the rest of the chair that gives you that lounge feeling. If the lumber would be adjustable then that chair would change my whole mind. But the choice of automatic lumber adjustment is wrong for the design imo. The Aeron chair in the other way felt so perfect! And even thought it is mesh and a bit more stiff then cushioned.. you can't compare the mesh of the Aeron with most of the other chairs (at least the ones I've tried). Exaclty as he says in the video, you feel floaty and actually quite sink into the chair but it really gives you the support youy would need if you got a bad back. I can see how I would not like the chair because I usually take my foot up a lot! But tbh that is just becasue the chait I am sitting in is just to big... I've got a racing chair atm and that is what gives me huge problems when I do it to long in my lower back quickly and aggresive. SO imo you should not buy a chair where you are possible to get weird positions like that. If I would get a chair where I can sit like he suggested I would get a Titan or something where you got all the space to get in to your positions as you please.. but I am very sure that 99% of the people who love the Titan chair are people who are blessed with a healthier back. BUT because of this video I am going the next days to another shop to try out the Steelcase chairs. I am still not quite comfy with Herman Millers prices but will invest in one if the Steelcases are no good. This channel is blessed for what they do and they helped me more then anything or anyone related to office chairs. But you have to consider too that YOU HAVE TO TRY OUT THE CHAIR and if you don't live in the USA as I do, the nyou have quite less options a need to check warrenties again for your country. Usually you will pay exxtra somwhere becasue we have to send in our chairs or parts to the USA. But again. Thanks BYODtv. Wish you had some people in Australia for recommendations.

Surprised you didn’t mention the reason for the warranty: they break hard! Can’t tell you how many I had fixed that broke in the seat at my office. We designated a room for misfit chairs where they waited to be fixed. Warranty used to be lifetime, but I believe they limit it now due to high cost and incidence of repairs.

It’s crazy I almost dished out $1,700 for one. I decided to order the Karman. It will be here next week. Looking forward to your guys’ review on the Karman!

i have Aeron with 20y of use and still rocking but i do not like it. I use a Embody and my wife uses the aeron. To be honest i find it to be too expensive to what it is. The embody on the other hand is just the best office chair i ever tried by some margin. The warranty on the chairs alone is worth a lot. I got multiple parts replaced with no cost at all over the years.

They have these at work and it's good for my one day at the office for about 2-3 hours. But I could not imagine using it at home as I need something more flexible and adjustable. If I found one for around $500 bucks refurbished, sure, otherwise the money can be better spend on other chairs for sure. Leap, Fern, Embody do way more for less.

I’ve owned a used Aeron Classic size B for about a year, I loved it for the most part but after a while I realized I needed the smaller size and sold it. So for me the biggest flaw is the lack of adjustments.

MIne is a year and a half old, and I sorely regret choosing to pay $2000 on my Aeron. As soon as I stop thinking about it, I find I have slid forward into a very unhealthy position.

Btw got the atlas headrest 4 days ago and all I can say is WOW. The fit and finish make it look like it is OEM. Bonus is it makes the chair look “balanced” if you know what I mean. Always thought my embody looked like it was missing something. Now it looks and feels end game.

Been using and owning aerons for 20 years ..love 'em love 'em love'em......the only downside for me is the price At the moment I'm shopping for stool conversion kits cos I'm switching to a standing desk setup and the price of a stool version is mad.

I love stays with my legs crossed and with one leg underneath until I started having varicose veins. That was the reason I developed them. So, as comfortable as that is, avoid that ffor the sake of your veins.

Aeron chair is the only chair I can game for 14 hours without back pain. 😅😅😅 I got mine used from a company that sells chairs from movie props.

I couldn't disagree with you more! If Life were Perfect then nothing would break but Life is not Perfect! However, I've had my Size A Herman Miller Aeron Chair for close to 30 years! The first one broke when my 6'4" cousin sat in mysmall size chair and leaned all the way back! Since it was within the 12 year warranty, Herman Miller immediately replaced my chair with a brain new chair and I've had it ever since! Knock on wood, not one problem and I use it everyday for long periods of time. I have a bad back and spend a lot of time in this chair doing computer graphics and I couldn't be more pleased ! I couldn't walk away so easily and freely if I spent that much time in any other chair. That's my experience!

If you'd like less firm mesh - chose size C instead of B.

I use an Aeron at work sometimes (shared office space), and love it for the most part, but like you (and basically everyone else) said, the hard sides of the seat are the only thing I don't care for. That and the fact that HM doesn't sell an OEM headrest version of this chair is absurd. What is it with HM and hating headrests? Lol.

i’m 5’7 and can cross my leg on a B size My job has a bunch if the Aeron chairs and tbh they’re not that bad I wouldn’t mind getting one refurbished, it’s comfy. the new editions with the terrible back support are the bad ones tbh the ones with the weird spine support, (the one shown in the video) I just stick with the low lumbar support OG one (the best one imo & it doesn’t poke my back, unless you got a bad one that is messed up) everyone here seems to support it even the older people and taller people compared to me a guy named Ron that’s 6’+ sits on this chair daily & seems to enjoy it even the heavier set people around here we use it to chill & lounge on downtime
