I came here not because I was thinking of buying a cricut auto press because that’s WAY out my budget but I was eyeing the htvront auto press which is on the higher end of my budget as a home crafter. You gave some really good points to think about before I invest a ton of my money into something I think would be a good investment but I think for now I’ll opt for a clam shell manual press.

The reason that they marketed their auto press as "professional" is so that crafters would jump on board and say they were buying a professional machine. They're upping their game and are not crafting anymore, they're running a business. It's a shame because many of these women (and men) are running a business and would do much better with a less expensive machine. Cricut are master marketers. BTW - love your makeup and hair!!

I've just watched your "professional" critique of the new Cricut Heat Press. I will ignore your contradictions where you say you turn down "offers" of equipment to test and then point out that you have received the same, and then sold, by your own admission that same equipment and instead try to limit my comments to those of yours that I found most disturbing. The "auto press" went on the market May 3rd, and you want "longevity" records? Be realistic, ask that question a year from now. You ask why no side by side comparisons....go to Jennifer Maker on KZfaq for side by side comparisons. By the way, her reviews were positive. I subscribe to a number of sites, both amateur and professional for a variety of professional and hobby interests, and have for years, and yours is the only reviewer I have ever encountered who "revised" a product without using, owning, or demonstrating said product. How dare you ask us to "trust" your opinion when you aren't familiar with what you are talking about? For example, you claim the "auto press" has four different settings....wrong, it has four user delectable pre sets for we amateurs who might like to repeat an application without trying to remember what we did last time. You claimed the machine has to constantly be unplugged and plugged back in when you wish to use it. In the interests of safety Cricut "recommends" unplugging the machine when not in use. Intended for home use I heartily endorse such a recommendation as I believe there may just possibly be home users or "crafters" as you derisively call them, who may have young children at home. You claim to be totally impressed with many Cricut products, but then you say in virtually the same breath that Cricut products have a history of unreliability and that 90 per cent of Cricut users complain about the software Cricut users. Which by the way they continue to update at no charge if a problem or potential problem turns up. How can you make such grandiose claims without studies or statistics to back them up? One more thing....you say you can't find answers to your questions for a machine you don't even have the instructions for and all Cricut users are aware of the "Cricut Help Desk", accessed freely at any time. I cannot help but wonder what your review would have been like if Cricut had chosen to "gift" you a machine for you to try....I would love to see your own "side by side" comparisons with comparable machines, oh that's right, you don't have one, have never used one, wouldn't buy one....but you would feel qualified enough to tell me what I should do? Shame on you for earning money from an unqualified review of a product you know next to nothing about. I am disappointed in you and your claim to be an "expert" despite having experience with machines you have used.

Any machines I have sold I purchased myself. I never claimed this was a review. The title of the video is why I’m not buying the auto press because it’s my opinion. I’ve never limited comments I’ve found disturbing , so I’m not sure where that’s coming from. What I mean by longevity records because the technology is so new how many items we pressed with it? What different materials? Did you do a variety of items? Because a review of a press for garments should include t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, polyester, cotton ,ect . It should include different fabric thickness and blends to show how well it performs. Especially when it’s something that isn’t been bench mark tested. It also needs to be used on multiple garments ( a minimum of 50 pieces or so ) to show that it can consistently perform the same way. You can say I’m wrong but to me that is a proper review. I would never recommend or give a positive review on a product ( unless it’s an upgrade to a product that I’ve used for years) without proper testing. I’m always honest about my feelings about cricut, I will still continue to purchase from them. When they come out with a new maker I’ll be the first to buy it. I kid renewed my access membership. You can be critical of certain products from a brand and still like others. We are allowed to have our own opinions. But just because you don’t like what I have to say it doesn’t mean I’m wrong. Also, silhouette, brother, ect update their software for free and their programs are available offline. I make money off of making videos. I said that in the video. I also stated spend your money how you want to. You took everything I said way too personal. FYI, cricut reached out to me a couple of years ago to receive their products but I turned them down. I didn’t like how quickly I had to have a video up after receiving a product. That’s not how I do things. It maybe different now but I’m sure at this point they wouldn’t ask again. Most brands don’t want to work with me, I don’t do fast reviews, I won’t sign contracts, I won’t take affiliate codes unless it’s someone I buy from all the time and have used for years or Amazon ( there have been a couple of exceptions) . Trust me or don’t believe me or don’t it’s no skin off my back. I know who I am. I’m not perfect by any means but I try to be as honest as possible. I will tell you this though I do know heat presses. I’ve worked with them for years and made at least 100000 shirts with vinyl on them. That’s why I’m so picky. The data I’m so critical about should be coming from cricut and it’s still not available. Thank you for your input. I hope you have a blessed day.

Great videos and i like your honesty. I don't have any cricut machines but from what i have seen they do seem to be for the crafty home user. I bought a Vevor heat press and a Vevor vinyl cutter. They are both great and i am still getting use to them. I recently bought a sawgrass which i do enjoy. My heat press does the job but i do have to look into heat settings and pressure settings after you mentioned those. Keep up the great work, replying to you from down under. You do a great job.

Thank you for your honesty. Personally, although they *say* this is for the Professional maker, I would not agree with them. All Cricut products up to date have been geared at the home crafter - or home business - they take away all the control from the end user. They are the Apple of the crafting world. And it appears to be working for them in the same way it works for Apple (btw, I love Apple products. They have their place). Your bluntness is appreciated by this Australian. Oh, and the 11th reason why I won’t be buying the Auto Press is because it isn’t available in Australia!

I wish I had watched your video before I bought the Auto Press. It doesn’t have pressure settings. It has 4 preset heat settings. It’s auto pressure. This won’t work if you need high or heavy pressure. You can’t regulate the pressure at all. It’s very limiting. You won’t be able to use Puff vinyl. I’ve used it for vinyl and sublimation and it’s fine. I’ve had some fails too.

Okay, I got a Cricut Maker3 the day after VDay. I learned it before it got here somewhat and mastered it lightning fast. I was invited to their panel 8 days after getting my Cricut as they were amazed. I kept expecting a fix for the print to cut, but while waiting for it I did tons of easy Subli with print to cut, I did some specialty films from specialty materials, by the way thank you for letting us know about them and their samples because I am in love with their stuff. Then, I needed to do a few hundred stickers for my son’s college event and so I did and about 20 to 30 expensive sheets of sticker paper wound up ruined. I expected a fix for that so when a big announcement happened and it turned out to be the auto press, it really lit a fuse. I got a brother scan and cut DX and the illustrator link and I make perfect full sheet of stickers by sending them to print and sending the files to my skin and cut directly from illustrator. That’s also how I make cards and everything else. I need a backing for a mandala that I did and I had a piece of cardboard that was a backing for some card stock. I did not wanna guess what setting that should be cut on for my cricket, so I popped it into my scan and cut and the auto Blade figured it out for me. So, I can send from Illustrator, get great performance, quiet machine, does everything CM3 can do. Greed turns my stomach. Always has, always will. I’m going to be trying your recommendations for my 1st real heat press!

To me it feels like their real marketing of this press is not for professionals, but to home crafters who think they want to jump to professional levels. It has that feel about it… easy settings, don’t have to think about where to set it, it’s for people who want to be professional, but don’t know what they are doing yet, for a really high price tag.

A heat press should never be operated through a program nor the internet! Never buy such! You can get multi function presses off Ebay and Amazon that lasts for years or are very easy to fix. Only had problem with one and guest what it required messing with wires to set it up! It was returned. In addition, you need to be able to control your pressure on the items you are sublimating! Great information here! Straight talk here! So appreciate the honesty! Small presses are good for small projects. Best size 16x20 inch. If all you are doing is coasters the smaller heat press if fine ie 12x15 inch or use it as a hat press or plate press. We do not recommend the circuit auto press as it is over priced, limited in function, requires their proprietary software to use, and is a dead weight once it fails. Standard heat presses can be repaired with ease if you have a little mechanical ability. We have a maker, we don't like the software. Everything is done in a different software and imported. Cricut needs to change to allow users save all designs locally off line and then improve the features. There is free software to create designs keep all designs proprietary and off someone else's sever. The only reason to force save on their servers is to use the information to market to you. Not good for a business, keep your designs off other peoples servers. Thank you for putting out this review!

Wish you had videos or simple photos of your ratings on your personal experience with cricut. I look to you tube for videos especially when referencing a product that sold millions. I don't own any cricut heat presses, I have 5 commercial presses, but my affliates and students were curious and you have shown no pictures or videos of your claim. Sounds like rants... they could have just listen to this on the radio. That's why we all search You Tube for Videos of proof from their experience on something that sold millions of. Sorry sounds like you have a vendetta rather than a professional opinion on the product. That was a comment from a client looking to buy her daughter a cricut press. It almost wants me to purchase it for her myself. Have a better day. I think cricut press is just fine for a first purchase, and you can make a profit, too. Thats my opinion. Plus there is a warranty. Why not?

I have a lot of experience with heat presses and there isn’t a whole lot of information from cricut about this machine out there. They are waiting to see what cricut is going to do.

For someone just starting out there are many presses equal value for a lot less…Amazon covers their products with additional warranties and my cost was only a few hundred dollars vs $1000 I bought mine years ago and she’s going strong …if, you just starting out why would you make an investment that you had to finance? I have always been a strong proponent of Cricut products have all their cutters but this was a jaw dropping exception. Looks to me if ISHESH has had a lapse of judgment I think for one it’s to small to do real professional jobs for many things including signage the Real Estate industry that require a sign of 18 x24 with the companies name across the top …you gonna be piece milling it together. I have always looked up to ISHESH and respected his opinion after being a admin for Melody Lane for years I have had great experiences with him and his company but this hit me right in the gut…just so disappointed and disillusioned by this latest release I feel I have suffered yet another loss of a good friend. I feel he took advantage of his relationship of trust with his consumers I am deeply saddened by this because I now feel I can no longer have a relationship of trust but now one of uncertainty. My family has had over 10 years in the graphic arts business and I really consider this an overpriced toy. Before you drink the Kool aid investigate other auto presses check progressional companies like Stalls, Conde, and Heat Press Nation just to name a few and do your research compare not only cost but longevity and most of all quality of production because if you going to use this press you have to able to stand behind your work without the air compressor to add the pressure needed for long term product I see a lot of returns in your future at your cost not Cricut’s. I’m not saying don’t buy it I’m saying investigate before you take the plunge.
