@@agamerjourney9146 No, I understand their in Tennessee and other locations that, they were never in before! I was raised on White Castles, aka/ I am from Cincinnati originally! There is a particular smell when, you walk into White Castle but, you don’t in Krystal’s! From what, I know from trying Krystal’s they don’t seem to use onion in the burgers! At least it’s not very present!

Never been to a White Castle restaurant, as they are not in my area. However, the frozen counterpart graces my neighborhood Walmart. When microwaved, they are awful. I will thaw them out, disassemble them, and sear them properly, steaming the buns atop the meat and onion. Assemble, add pickle, and enjoy

Don’t set them out to thaw from the freezer, thaw out in the refrigerator, for several hrs, don’t buy, a lot of frozen food items at Walmart, they can tend to be old and passed the expiration date at Walmart, go to a regular grocery store and buy them, seriously, they will taste a lot better than those old ones at Walmart! A tip when, you microwave them wrap in a paper towel or wax paper 2 at a time, wrap around the towel or paper lengthwise, if you use wax paper, splash a little cold water on top, heat for 1 minute! Also you can get a recipe online, my mom worked in a restaurant yrs ago so, and, my mom and grandma had the recipe for the original and, they take nothing to make, I still make them till this day! Hint, there is, 1 lb. of hamburger, for every lb. of hamburger you’ll need a 12 count pkg. of hamburger buns, I egg per lb. of hamburger,as well, as 1 chopped onion, salt and pepper to taste a splash of Worcestershire Sauce. You spread the meat mixture on both insides of the bun, turn upside down on a griddle pan. Takes about 10 to 15 mins depending on how thin or thick you spread the meat mixture on the buns and, then, smash the sides together and, well you can still put any toppings you want on them.

One of the lesser known uses for the fabled slider is...dressing for your Thanksgiving Turkey. Pretty much everything is there for perfection. Get about a dozen sliders, eat the pickle, tear them up in a baking pan, add chopped celery, a little sage, and a can of chicken broth, mix it all together, and bake it. No muss, no fuss, perfect taste.

I remember getting sacks of these in the 70's, after cruising around with friends, getting stoned. They cost about 25-30 cents then. They stayed open until 2 in the morning.

White Castle has been on point when it comes to there flavor. It has Changed a slight bit over the years but not loosing any of its mmmmmm. I remember as a kid eating so many white castle burgers that eventually the burgers started tasting like the box they came in, AND theirs much truth to this idea because the burgers are steamed, so the hot steam coming off the burgers eventually start steaming their carton boxes which then transfer their steam back to the burgers, hence the box cardboard flavor. Never the less White Castles will ever remain in my top 5 burger joints because its soley unique, even unto its copy cat competition.

When fixing White Castle sliders at home, don't forget to poke four holes in the hamburger before frying each over a bed of onions, My favorite method is to use dehydrated onions. First of course, you gotta freeze those patties for a while.

I've always had one within a few mins from house in Queens, NY. When I I first took my present job there was a White Castles a few blocks away, When my job moved to a different part of Queens, guess what? White Castles right across the street!

I know the one we have here in Bowling Green Ky is always lined around the building. So, I hardly ever eat here because I'm not waiting but have ate quiet a few at night. They are open 24/7. I really like them. Cheese sticks are good too!

Unfortunately I live in Florida and we don't have any white Castles here, instead we have Krystals and I'm told their not as good. I used to like Krystals but they went down hill and now most Krystals have closed up. I'd love to try a white Castle

Not gonna lie they recently opened one of these in Orlando and I have yet to go and am thinking of finally pulling the trigger. Have been interested in these since the Harold & Kumar film and have only ever had the frozen microwaveable which I imagine pale in comparison to the real deal. Super stoked to try these soon

I hope if this iconic over a century old American restaurant chain White Castle opens its branches in India very soon it since is one of the most fast food consuming countries of Asia with a large youth population (with average age below 26 years).It would be interesting to see how White Castle fare against their old rival burger chains like McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy's in the Indian fast food market.

It's easy. They make a incredibly consistent product that tastes great (okay, okay, this is very subjective), is convenient, and is usually super fast. And they haven't overly fiddled with things too much throughout the years.

We have no White Castle's here, but had heard of them. Went to one in Tennessee. We were SHOCKED 😲 at how tiny they were. Had no idea! And the slider wasn't a thing then. Embarrassing to have to order another burger. 🙃 😆 🤣 👍

That’s because, in case you haven’t noticed they are sliders, their advertising tells you that and, they tell you to order them by the case, it used to be order them by the sack, didn’t you get the hint! Their not that expensive! They do have other items to eat them with, I mean did you think about having some fries, cheese sticks, onion chips or other side items they have? I would never go to White Castle just to get one slider! Wtf!

LOL 😆 I'm sure they could tell we knew NOTHING when we ordered. 😄 We couldn't get a sack being on vacation. I wish there were a White Castle near me. Here in AL we're stuck with copycat (and grossly inferior) Krystal. Texas? I've never seen one in Texas. Though I have not been there in years. I'm from San Antonio and the first time I saw White Castle was in Maryland in 1986. Fell in love the first time I went there.

Not sure how you define "successful" even in Ohio. We had one locally for like 7 years. I only went in once and the sticker shock said NEVR again!! 2 tiny burgers for the price of regular DELUXE cheeseburger at any other fast food joint? That restaurant is now a walk-in emergency medical clinic. Yummy? Yes! Overpriced? YES!!!!!! Don't miss the place.

Yep, but, you can also make them, they take nothing to make, it’s mostly the original recipe that, I have from all those yrs ago and, their very easy to make! You have most of the ingredients on hand, all except the hamburger buns!

The last time I went to White Castle I couldn’t finish the meal. It was terrible. I’m from Nashville and Krystal is what I’ve always gone to. And they have the best fries. I will never go to White Castle again.
