Loved the biplane and the falconrustyco, that style of bike looks awesome imo, very futuristic, dudes who hop on the highway in groups, highway racing, looks like something very fitting for that style of riding, long stable bikes but very powerful, would have to be light and handle decent though

Motorcycles are not supposed to look "futuristic". They are supposed to be crude, primitive, and visceral. They are supposed to have a soul stirring sound and feel. They are supposed to appeal to the cave man that is still part of all of us.

@@geraldscott4302 Maybe for you, but everyone has their tastes and preferences. So, saying that motorcycles are "supposed to look certain ways and appeal to certain riders" is just extreme arrogance; you are not an arbiter of what motorcycles should look like.
@geraldscott4302
@geraldscott4302 Жыл бұрын
@@Fearless154 It wouldn't bother me a bit if manufacturers made some black bikes, but they don't make anything BUT black bikes. I have actually owned a few "black" bikes, but they weren't the same as what they are making now. Two of my all time favorite motorcycles from the past were a 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Special, and a 1983 Yamaha XS650 Heritage Special. Both had GLOSS black tanks and side covers. But aside from the frames, tires, seats, and grips, that was about all the black on them. They had bright aluminum engines, unfinished aluminum or chrome wheels, chrome exhausts, bars, mirrors, grab rails, instrument housings, forks, most of the fasteners were chrome. Todays bikes are 99%+ flat black. Like they built the bike first, then just dipped the whole thing into a vat of black paint.

I'd have to say that I would ride the 'Ugly duck". I used to ride motorcycles year round (NW Michigan). I used to wrap dog chains around my tires so I had a good bite while driving through snow and ice, so that 2 wheel drive with decent tires would have been incredibly nice.

I started riding in 1977. My formative years were spent during the era of many of these bike's evolution. And...quite honestly, I can relate and appreciate nearly all of them. Put some "adventure bags" and some cheap graphics on the Bulldog and you've got a winner If the Biplane had been produced by a custom fab shop it would be draped in accolades. The 1980 Futuro is ugly by todays standards but fit the era...nothing wrong with it a few graphics wouldn't fix. OK...no hope for the Bosscut. It looks like a tree fell across a real bike. And no hope for the Rusty Falcon video game bike. The Kawi J-bike. Not enough information or images. "...debuted all the way back in 2013..." All the way back!!! Buddy, I got left overs in the back of the fridge older than that. Yami Tesseract...I'm looking at a hip replacement in the next 10 years. It looks pretty good to me. Tri(more)umf TS8-1: it didn't make it cuz it was a Triumph when no one was buying Triumphs. The 2 wheel drive Ugly Duck wrapped in camo would have been a hit and would be today. The Kiddie bike is just plain creepy.

Heya @bart - loving your channel and vids. I personally own a 2021 Zero SR/S Premium and as a Zero owner and fan I can't help but wonder why your various list videos etc, never mention Zero as an OEM? Afterall they're still in production and releasing new models (the DSR/X just came out for year 2023), they're one of the few true USA made brands left, they've been making bikes for over a decade, have many models spanning 3 very different generation of bike now too. You often reference electric motorcycles in your vids, you seem to perhaps even like them, or at least can appreciate their place in the marketplace and in the future of our hobby/sport. So just curious if you ever plan to make any videos about Zeros or include them in your "roundup / list" videos?

I was actually hoping to buy the Bulldog as and when Honda produced it. It has storage in the tank area like the NC750X (which I have) but it's also rugged enough to cope with spills etc. I hate plastic bikes that cost a fortune to repair when they just fall off the centre stand. I also liked the mad max look but I did worry that the bike was going to be too small for me (6' 2"). I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The Bulldog would have an rather fine and solid power plant, I've seen this idea before with the fenders on an Yamaha scooter i believe, The whole idea is to use it kind alike a scateboard. The scratches on the fenders would just make it look better. The BMW looks like all BMW, kind of bland and uninspiring, It looks like most white BMW models, like an vanila ice cream on two wheels.

Falcorustyco Is Italian (Japanese love Italian name) . in Italian it is "falco rustico" means rustic hawk or rustic falcon. I think we used the wrong word, rustic in Italian refers to a house and rarely to animals or people and it means rural, simple, raw or referred to food. perhaps the word they were looking for was "Selvaggio" = wild,
