Before he was voted to be the next President of the United States Donald Trump was already known for his billions and billions of dollars. He made some of his money from investing and developing properties in New York’s Manhattan area, but he’s also known for his appearances on ‘The Apprentice’. While most of it probably wouldn’t have been possible without his father’s money, he has made quite a name and fortune for himself over the years. And with that fortune comes ridiculously expensive things that most people would have no use for.

The country was for him his biggest venture business but he was still selling Trump steaks at The Mar-a-Lago during his presidency. As many of his other ventures this didn't work. Although he most likely made good profits for his organization, we're yet to see his personal total gains now that his partners are starting to pull away from him. It's been said he renounced to his government salary but his lavish lifestyle will cost much more to the taxpayer. He certainly didn't renounce to golfing and gave medals to professional golfers while ignoring the police that gave his life defending the Capitol even though he was one of his supporters. You can praise him as much as you want but he'd still despises you and me as low class.

@Maria C He billed the secret service, military, state department millions of dollars, making them hold conferences and stay at his hotels, etc. He billed the secret service $550/night every night for 6 months - even when he wasn't in the country. He did everything Putin could have asked for, and never even brought up the subject of their putting bounties on US soldiers or the most damaging cyber attack on our government systems ever - accessing blueprints about military weapons under development, top-secret intel, etc., he told 30,000 lies while in office, committed crimes, then fired FBI directors/agents overseeing the investigations, reversed policy when it benefitted him financially.... What the hell is there to be grateful for?

jethrotu1 have you specifically met him? he manipulated his father's will so his brother (or step-brother) wouldn't get a dime or near a dime. He has donated to a limited amount of charities and he is willing to build a wall that keeps illegals IN. Plus, to do all the things he says, he can't fully repeal the Affordable Care Act since 20+ million people are covered by the insurance. He doesn't go out of his way and walk dirty streets of other countries and meets the working man, he meets with the bosses, the business dealers he can co-operate. He plans on making the United States leave NATO (which was made to counter act the Warsaw Pact that was started by the Soviet Union).

I can only imagine how many people he has employed, how many businesses he's engaged, how many goods and services he is responsible for using and buying, thereby giving jobs to even more people, how many people he's helped through charity, how many companies and people that were able to do all kinds of things to further humanity, technology, science. Think where we'd be if we all had the same EXACT amount of money! No one would be motivated to do more. No one would be able to find corporations that invent, discover, make our country/world run!

One falsehood in this: Boeing doesn't build engines. The 757 had engines provided by either Pratt & Whitney or Rolls Royce. Almost 60% of 757s built came with the Rolls Royce engines from the factory. Customers (airlines) specified which engine option they wanted when they placed their order for the new plane. Trump's 757 likely already had the RR engines when he bought it used.
