I remember when I stopped trying to clean my house all in one go, and instead embrace the fact that I have ADHD and like to check things off. Now I have a reoccurring list in todoist of all the things to clean in each room and I just do what I can manage for 15 mins a day. It makes a huge difference on my motivation!

I have adhd and when I’m off my game I don’t even look at my todoist! When I’m on my game it helps me feel like a ninja 🥷. I’ve wobbled off my game in a big way over the last few months but this video has given me inspiration to face the doom of my neglected todoist. Thank you!

Great stuff. My favorite way to ensure I'm organized and always moving in the right direction is to "sharpen the saw" intentionally every week. I set five quarterly goals, which are based on my annual goals and are from each of these categories: family, social, professional, education, and spiritual. Every week, during my weekly review, the first thing I do is add one thing from each that will move me meaningfully toward my goal.

Thank you! Here's a fact: When you retire you're amazed at how you ever got any work done in your regular job with all the things you now have to do. And it never gets better! Sorry to be such a voice of doom. There are some days I just move all my chores to next week because they're so overwhelming that I know I won't get any of them done today. That's OK for the things that can be put off but can be a disaster for things like "put out the trash". (Don't laugh). I've been using ToDoist Pro for years now and I'm not sure what I would do without it. I probably would have post-it notes everywhere. Naomi - besides being delighted by your video - love the accent - I found several new ideas that I hope to add to my ToDo list. ;)

I was already enjoying the bloopers, but “[incomprehensible despair]” is now officially my favorite subtitle of all times and the name of my next Depeche Mode cover band. But seriously… this was a really good video. I have pretty bad ADHD so forming habits is really hard. I’ve had to create a plethora of systems to help develop and sustain healthy routines. Most notably I have a project/list in my Todoist called ‘Habits’ for all the items that I need to do regularly but not every day. Daily items are subtasks under a repeating item like “Morning Routine,” “Evening Routine,” etc. So thanks again. I picked up a few new ideas and reinforced some others.

Thanks for sharing. I definitely go on a task deleting spree once in a while because there's never enought time. So I prioritize and delete what's not important 😌 I also had weekly planning sessions once, but fell off. This makes me want to get back, and introduce the "review" part instead of just planning.

Thank you. This was helpful in a time of my life when I feel most disorganised. I can relate to many things you’ve mentioned and especially the fact it seems most people don’t care and perfection really resonates. will definitely give asking those questions a go and look at the todoist templates. Have a lovely day.

I really appreciated this video. So often these kinds of things come off as very ableist, and as someone who struggles with a cocktail of chronic pain, neurodivergence, and caring for someone else on a daily basis, these things are complicated! Would love more videos in this vein, and especially anything tailored to ADHD/Autism, and dealing with variable energy and ability levels. Still gonna keep asking for a habit tracker in Todoist too! I just renewed my Todoist for another year 💪 so I'd rather give my chance to someone that can't afford it.

Great video, as always. Just a thought that pops up around decluttering the task list: Sometimes I think David Allen’s (GTD) recommendation of the “mind dump” into the Inbox was his *least* helpful contribution. It’s so much easier to add than subtract; especially for creatives who can generate ideas all day but find prioritization tricky, the mind dump becomes a shame factory. 🙄
