23:00 I bought a number of Imperial Assault box sets... the minis are around 28mm, just a little "thicker" than the SW figures from the Star Wars Miniatures game. A lot of good variety with some "hero" characters. I decided to skip SW Legion and Shatterpoint because of the larger scales. Great Vid with a lot of great suggestions! Thx.

Fallout Wasteland Warfare minis are PVC in the starter set but the other expansions are all resin. Really nice quality.

Obscurities in Miniature featured a product recently from Beyond the Gates of Antares called the Domari Squad that is pretty value for money. For $32 you get components to make 16 minis and 2 drones. There's actually quite a few sets in that line you could proxy to represent various factions for Five Parsecs from Home. I've also been browsing Etsy for more specified troop types like The Swift, as there is not a lot of lizard-folk out there that are scifi based. These are good suggestions too - glad you put this together!

Good ideas I would suggest Antares Strike On Kar'a Nine Starter Set instead of the other gates of anteres set. It sells for $55. I would suggest Reaper mini Chronoscope series you can buy individual characters to fill in 'missing minatures' for a reasonable price.

Great video, covered a lot of stuff I either got or looked at. Some of it is pretty expensive, I track a lot of these things on Amazon and these prices have been rising since pandemic started. Imperial Assault singles are $10 if lucky, I get the starter set is usually the best deals. I haven't seen the real cheap Sedition wars in awhile. Considering the cost of some of these: Necromunda might be worth looking at get like 10 varied dudes for $32, Orlocks and Van Saar worth looking at, some kits can be real cheaper like those Chaos Cultist and Imperial Guard easy build kits, like 4 dudes for $12. IF someone wants the retro sci fi Buck Rogers feel looks at Space Cadets Away missions, its like 104 guys for $100, the scale is a bit larger but not 32. Another set along these lines is Rayguns and Rocktships, used to find it for $25 its going for $50 right now but has four factions: Lizards, Brain monsters, Humans and human pirates, get a leader and 6 troop types each faction. These are that softer board game miniature but no bad, I heard a trick to put elmers in primer to stiffen it, haven't tried that yet. Considering the price on these research the Russian line "tehnolog" on ebay, dirt cheap, careful on scale but the smaller one still comes across as bigger. Something I don't have but am looking at real hard is Maelstroms Edge.

Something you should really go back and point out is the AlIENS miniautes are available seperate from the boardgame! The miniatures alone are actually quite cheap if you only want those
