Sonic The Hedgehog 2 the amazing sequel of one of the best animated movies, sonic the hedgehog 2 tells us the life of sonic after the events of the first movie, after settling in green hills with his friend tom, sonic is excited to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero but his true test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns and this time with a new partner, Knuckles
Sonic will have to stop these two from taking the green emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations, but this time sonic also has a new partner, teams up with his own sidekick, Tails and together they embark on an adventure to find the emerald before it falls in the wrong hands, together sonic and tails will go through great adventures to try to get the emerald before they get it but there are many secrets that you've not seen in sonic the hedgehog 2. In the beginning of the movie, the manholes all blast into the air with water, which is a reference to that one scene with Perfect Chaos I think was his name, in Sonic Adventure.

You missed one thing, in the final battle: a GUN helicopter lands and it says SA2 which stands for Sonic Adventure 2 which tells us Shadow could be in the next movie before we see the post credits since he is in the game.

@@kor1sh0k53 I have seen the movie, and I used to read the comics way back. So, if you're friends with someone it's NOT an arch enemy. That's a recurring enemy that's def. not a friend. That's why I reacted to the term. Arch enemy is like The Great Enemy! So, that's more what Robotnic is.

One very big Easter egg in the movie I see many people missing. Is in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Sonic runs across the water and then ends up on Angel Island. Does technically the same thing in the movie to get to Knuckles and Robotnik. The whole island reminds you of that first level in S3. Truthfully I don't know other than Shadow that they have planned for the next one. But I feel at this point they can't go wrong as long as they stay close to the storyline. They could have a massive catalog of sequels to Sonic if they play it right. And all characters have their own back stories so even doing spinoffs would work. Like Knuckles the Echidna the movie. They would sell. The fanbase for these characters is epically big.
