For the new Hunters, the Radial Menu Customization is the first thing I suggest changing. Trust me, once you set your preference, the game gets so much better. It makes the game feel so much more fluid and immersive. I've been playing since MH4 and the quality of life changes Capcom gave us were so great. I can't wait for MH6.

Dude I’m so hyped for MH6 and I know it hasn’t been announced yet 😂 I’m excited because I adore MH World and got Rise on Switch, played ALOT on the Switch and got Sunrise but I went back to World. Now that it’s on PS5 I realize what was missing for me was the frame rate and the graphics. On PS5 I can see what’s going on in detail even when playing with 3 other hunters. When I think about a current gen MH game… I get so excited! Imagine a current gen game with graphics and smooth frame rates incorporating all they’ve learnt from how awesome Rise’s combat is paired with World’s immersive environments! It’s going to be insane!

As a hunter from the old world (MH 1) there's been a lot of great changes that really help those who are returning or brand new to the series, I'm glad there's still people out on the net spreading information that most of the titles don't tell you about, I hope to see more hunters new and old coming together to build up the community and I look forward to the new experiences we'll see together as a community, great video man keep up the great work! Good video but I wish you went over target vs focus camera mode. Took me a minute to figure out how to switch that so I could focus only on big monsters.

All the time I've been playing Rise on Switch, I rarely messed with the options. I'll have to go back there to make the necessary changes. Trying the XSX version first. Thanks!

It is really nice when a game has so many options. Personally, I turned off most of the HUD. It effectively makes the most important HUD elements dynamic, only showing up when you cycle through it. And the map showing up only when pressing the menu button. By default, there is WAY too much HUD for my liking. I also customized the graphical settings. You can turn everything on high, including dynamic high-quality shadows from the title screen, and still get a rock solid 60fps as long as you set the resolution to 100%(4K), not 125%. That will also get you up to 100fps with a VRR display. This is on Xbox X and PS5. Great performance, of course, being a Switch port.

I’m going to have to try that, I did the HD graphics with 125% and was having some trouble with frames not keeping up. I’m on the series s btw. I’m gonna try to turn on dynamic high quality shadows and bump it down to 100% and see what that does. I usually run games with the fps prioritized but this game is so beautiful, I had to bump up the graphics for this one. Thanks for the tips!

I remember hunting great izuchi on launch with other players. The hit effects blocks everything that I don't even know what is going on.

Ugh I wish they would add hud scaling and position like in the Division 2 In Div 2 you could change the size and position of each hud element individually and turn each of them on or off

I’m late on this but basically this is current rise, just without the sunbreak dlc. You can see that from the fact that follower voices and the like are available even tho sunbreak isn’t here yet

Hi I have a question since the game launches tmrw night I’m going to be playing with my friends and we’re starting the moment it goes live but can we play the story together? Like assuming we’re all on the same part of it? Or do we have to do it individually and see the cutscene first like we had to in word

No. Village quests (where the core story points trigger) are Single player only, and those are required for certain progression & story stuff you SHOULD do all those, some unlock certain features that you'll be wanting... but you can do the bare minimum of those and do everything else in MP, including low rank... The village stuff is basically just a gentle tutorial anyway, you won't have any issues solo. And on cutscenes... Nope... if you're in MP and at least one person hasn't seen the cutscene, it'll play for everyone... BUT everyone can also "vote" to skip it by holding a button, if everyone presses, it'll skip. This is also true for the cutscene at the end of a certain boss fight which always plays regardless of if you've seen it before (so when farming this quest, most players skip it). It's a MUCH better system than world

Yeah voice lines are too frequent xD for me i have the game in japaneese (not text ofc) for imersion. And after 1100 hours i know what every danger voice line means even if i dont know japanese at all xD.

I have a question: I noticed on Xbox (and maybe PlayStation, not sure), when I take a picture with the camera it also takes an Xbox screenshot. I saw when it first introduced this it said this can be turned off in the options but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Anyone know?

How do you craft all ammo in the shortcut I have set it to craft all and it only lets me craft 1 and won’t let me craft more until I use that 1 ammo and then after that it still only lets me craft 1 ammo the only way it lets me craft all ammo is in the craft list option and it takes to long to do that when I’m in battle does anyone know how to fix this?

There's no secret to it... select "let me ride".. it has the picture of the dog... and tap down (or up). You can also reshufle the icons on the bar and make it the default.

U can use focus camera to have more of a hard lock on, but technically u still need to aim your attacks. There isn't an attack lock, but there are some moves in some weapon sets that can change directions

No, there is no "lock on for attacks", this isn't a babymode hack & slash, this is a game of SKILL. you gotta learn your weapon properly AND learn the monster.

In IceBorne I was a sword player but in Rise the sword play is horrible so I switched to the light gun which is actually nice and fluid

I turned mine to Monster Hunter language and turned voice line frequency to 0 so he would only grunt but whenever I would play with friends they could still hear my character yell cringey lines in English on their end...
