It's already been confirmed that Andy's dad died of polio. And there are pictures of Andy's dad in the house. some of those pictures of Andy are actually Andy's dad from when he was a child, because that's actually his childhood home. Woody was owned and played with by Andy's dad, but because he had polio, he had to stop playing with Woody and he locked him in a box for safe keeping. Years passed, Woody is given to Andy, but since Andy looked just like his dad when he was Andy's age, Woody believes he is the same kid, hence why Woody is still in good condition and believes Andy is/was his only owner.

I believe that the Nemo one is fake because there is now finding dory and all people who have never met him can see him and talk to him. If they can do that he must not be fake unless this is all part of Marlins dream from the start of finding Nemo. The beginning when he is looking at all the eggs. Then when he goes into his Anemone he has the dream of Nemo which is that one special egg ( Nemo ). Finding Nemo and dory could all just be a dream.

The thing about Andy's dad is that he died the pictures on the wall in the house with Andy wearing glasses that isn't the Andy we know that is his dad! his dad had a life threatening illness that ruined his eyes and he eventually got better but then a few years later he got the same illness but got worse and it killed him the name on woody's boot inst the Andy we knows hand writing that is his dad writing when he got the only woody doll so yeah there is a video about it.And yes i know the Andy we know has the same hand writing as he dads but that can happen so enjoy!

I know the truth of Andy’s dad. He didn’t abandon Andy, Mollie, and Mrs. Davis... also, as far as “no signs of the father”. The pictures of the young boy on the side of the stairs in Andy’s house, are actually his father as a child, hence the glasses on the kid in the pictures. Andy’s dad was a sick kid, grew up with a terrible disease, but he lived to adulthood. Eventually getting married and having kids, but he inevitably loses his life to the sickness.... I can go more in depth, explaining how and why Woody actually belonged to Andy’s father, and how/ why woody doesn’t remember him. It’s so good.
