1. Honey as a hydrating mask 1:00 2. Change your pillowcase every other day (if you struggle with acne, otherwise twice a week, but at least once a week) 1:58 3. Make your own cooling mask at home. Use a paper tower with a water based toner/serum/essence. Soak the towel (or several sheets) in the liquid, put it in a ziplock bag in the fridge. Apply it to your skin when cooled. 2:52 4. Using oil to remove makeup. 5:10 5. If you a blemish that is on the rise or that is picked at recently, put a huge blob of moisturizer on top. 6:09 6. Go upside down (heart above head). Helps with circulation and blood flow. 7:45 7. Use a face wash (fragrance free, ph balance and for sensitive skin) as a feminine wash. 8:35 8. Keep your skincare products in the fridge. 9:45 9. Doing a facial massage with oil to get rid of blackheads. 12:36 10. Use a herbal infusion on your face. 15:00

I love honey not only on my skin but also my hair. I have horribly frizzy hair and honey helps my hair so much! I just wet my hair, mix 1 table spoon with 2 table spoons of water, mix in some hair mask and put it on my hair for an hour or so. My hair is so much smoother after this. I can't even achieve this smoothness with blow dryer. It's srlsy the best.

Hi Kenna! I would love to hear more about treating and fading new AND old scars. I have picked my scabs my whole life and I am currently seeking products and hacks to help this. I have seen a dermatologist for this and she was not helpful. She suggested mederma and to "stop picking". I have improved a lot with my bad habit but I really just wanted information on what picking does to your skin (hyperpigmentation?) And what ingredients do to help it. I love the science side of things so thank you for using your wisdom and passion to help!

I think it's important to note what kind of moisturizer you put on the belmish. Some moisturizers can have protective properties like silicone and other soothing ingredients. But others could have active ingredients, fragrance and other irritants that may exacerbate the belmish. So just be mindful, but definitely a nice little hack. A more expensive alternative would be a pimple (hydrocolloid) patch.

Great tips, I also use my face wash as body wash! La Roche Posay purifying foaming cleanser, it’s similar in both price and formula to Cerave. Curious why did you say you’ll never use salicylic acid? It’s what works best for me. I prefer it to AHAs because it seems less sensitizing for me and can actually unclog pores since it’s oil soluble unlike AHA.

I use almond oil to remove my eye makeup. It just melts the stuff, but I do need to follow with a water cleaner. I find that nothing ele works that well and I don't really wear makeup often so when I do it's heavy. I also find that it doesn't pull at my lashes and I kind of think it helps to kee them healthy. I don't know how ele to explain it. They don't break or fall as much. So it' a bonus. And it's cheap :D

When using coconut oil to remove makeup you should then use a double cleansing system, so after makeup has been removed/broken up with the oil you can use a gentle face cleanser to remove the oil. The issue is more using coconut oil as a moisturiser it clogs pores, but when using it as a wash on wash off product it’s not so much of an issue :) Hope that all makes sense
@Alex-ge8cp
@Alex-ge8cp 4 жыл бұрын
Coconut oil is a very cheap oil and isn't refined. It's a highly comedogenic oil so it will clog your pores. Some people use it on their face and say it doesn't clog their pores but that's what they can visibly see and that's only presently. They'll probably have textural issues in the future because of it. Coconut oil is great for your body and even your hair is you have a drier hair type but it's a big no-no for your face. I would suggest only using an oil specifically formulated to be used on your face. It doesn't have to be expensive. I use the 100% Borage Seed Oil from The Ordinary (CAD$4.20) and it works great. It's particularly good if you have acne or sensitive skin since it's anti-inflammatory and soothing. I hope that helps
