Oh my goodness, where were you and your videos when I was learning Tunisian back in 1972? ;) I am a great believer in better late than never, though, and have a big smile while thinking about how many more Tunisian projects I can do now. I have subbed and will be visiting your blog. Thank you!!

Yay!! I am so glad this was helpful. So many people struggle with curling (even I did when I started!) and I'd hate for them to give up on Tunisian crochet just because of this. I hope you will enjoy your Tunisian crochet journey!

So helpful. Especially as I didn't know how to block artificial yarns.

Great tips 👌 I use a combination of many of your tips, hook size, back bump, non-curling stitches, and I also make my first row a purl stitch. I'm not a fan of blocking so I try everything before I block 😅

Making the first row with a non-curling stitch like the purl stitch is a great idea! I block everything so it is my go-to technique for curling! 😅 Only if that doesn't work do I look at what else I can do to deal with it!

Yes!! And, there are no ends to weave in if you work in rows! :)

This is a very helpful video. I haven't seen one, but is there maybe a video on how to get even, neat sides on your Tunisian crochet? 😊

I am glad this was helpful! :) I don't have a video for neat edges, I intend to make one but it will have to wait for a bit. I am quite sure Toni from TLYarncrafts has one that you could look at. I think that you need to do two different things for the two edges (this is for right handed crocheters, flip the left and right edge if you are left handed) - left edge - make sure to pick the two vertical bars at the end and not the first chain of the reverse pass chain. I have seen this happen with a lot of people so make sure you are picking the right bars. right edge - make the loop really tight. You could also move that first stitch into a stitch marker and make the rest of the row and then move that back onto your hook to complete the row. This stops us from inadvertently pulling the first loop which usually makes it loose. I hope this helps!

@KnitterKnotter Thank you for replying to me. The tip about putting the right hand stitch on a stitch marker is an excellent idea. I do use both bars of the left hand stitch, but somehow, there is still a sort of gap. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so ... I have done a lot of TC. I regularly watch Tony from TL Yarncrafts - actually started TC about 5 years ago with her Holiday Sampler Blanket. I still want to make your Mosaic Sampler Blanket. Was nice talking to you. Xx

@@not2old2bcrafty You're welcome! I would be happy to look at something you've made and see if I can suggest anything else for the left edge. Here's my email address if you'd like to continue this discussion there - arunima@knitterknotter.com I hope you will enjoy making my Sampler and Mosaic Sampler blankets :)
