My strategy is to put half my income into the stock market at the start of every month, regardless of what is happening. The second part of the strategy is not to sell for at least 15 - 20 years. Time in the market beats timing the market.

Many investors are too lazy to do any research, or read financial statements. But this is what the pros do. Investing in stocks does not have to be gambling if you put some work in, are patient, and have realistic expectations.

Newbies think that the best way to play the stock market is to buy stocks then sell them a day or few months later, than repeat the process. This method of investing usually loses money. The people who buy and hold for long periods are the people who make the most money.

I ran into this a lot growing up. I was sent to several private middle and high schools growing up. I also went to summer camps where there were a lot of rich kids. As a young adult, I interviewed at several businesses in northern Michigan where it really didn't matter how smart you were, the only thing that really mattered was Who you knew. I speak from experience when I say, these people are very snobby, arrogant, and think that everyone who isn't a millionaire is beneath them. What we have in the US, (and UK) is very similar to India's caste system. I would love to see all of this disgusting class warfare completely upended some day. Thanks.

I am resourceful and very resilient. When the world tells you what you can't do focus on what you CAN do. I also have courage to trust my self and if I am unsuccessful I learn from it. I have a few of the these qualities and choosing to grow and accomplish my goals one step at a time. Thank you alux for the sound advice ❤.

Do a 9 to 5 job that you enjoy and cultivate hobbies that can be monetized on the side (Languages, dance, making music, singing, mechanical skills, etc). Invest in assets that you wholeheartedly believe in. There is no right choice. Being rich does not make you right. You don't know what the future holds so don't stress over it, focus on what you truly think is the right choice now. We should always be learning new things or working on mastering our skills and staying away from distractions as much as possible. This is all you need to do and then accept the flow of life.

6:00 True, resilience but there is a point where it is not going to work. Staying on course can eventually result in bankruptcy - key is to know the difference between startup time and just not going to happen. Think selling ice cream outside on a winter day in Minnesota, no matter how long you stand there it probloby won't turn into a good idea.
