Tanner seems like a straight up cool person, and he has that great young 90s look which fits for a lot of roles. Tanner easily could have been Harry Osborn in Spiderman or Billy Loomis in the original scream!

I'm a Filipino, and I'm surprised to know he got a bit of Filipino blood thru his mom! Interestingly, he called those weapon sticks as Kali (and the national sport too). Here in the Philippines we usually call it as Arnis. We pretty much spend a year of physical education learning the basics of Arnis during high school. ❤️ Edit: So I made a little research, Arnis and Kali is the same thing 😁😁

I've seen way too many celebs doing this particular 'essentials' segment for GQ, but so far, Tanner's has to be the one who showed the most varied assortment of essentials. Loved it!

Robby has always felt like the interesting, introspective, complicated outsider character on Cobra Ka who draws everyone in. Kind of mimics Buchanan's interview here. Best character of the series, imo.

I'm a fan of Cobra Kai. Happy to know that your mom is half Filipina and your grandpa is a pure Filipino. Using KALI as your combat defense on Season V Cobra Kai makes me proud of you. Kali is a Filipino karate. Using your sticks, that is for Arnis filipino martial arts. I am looking forward to your movie cobra kai season v.

Love Tanners list of metal bands! All great ones! Very relatable scaring friends in the car when they're not ready for a group such as Cattle Decap haha! Also have my own childhood stuffed animals so I appreciate that he gets the importance of those too. Kickass that he loves cool jewelry too. Black Coffee all day everyday indeed.

Ok, Tanner talks about guitar with the same love and intimate knowledge that some of the biggest guitar KZfaqrs I follow do. You can tell by the vocabulary he uses, he must be pretty serious about it. Respect. Also, mad respect for his music choices. I also freak people out for fun with cattle decapitation.

Mary Mouser (Sam Larusso) is into metal, but mostly modern metalcore stuff. She's also mentioned the likes of Motionless In White and wears their merch. Tanner's choices are so much more badass tho :P
