Great video. I use steam deck tools over handheld companion... just didn't seem to work as well for me.

Yea a lot of people seem to lean towards SD tools. I just found HC to have a better UI.

Yeah compared to swicd, I can't recommend SD Tools enough. I couldn't get swicd to run in games without something off with the controls

Nice vídeo! I'll look into other stuff from this channel. Quick tip: when talking about frequencies in general, such as your portable monitor frequency, "Hz" stands for (and is pronounced as) "Hertz".

Thanks for the support. I am actually an engineer and I know it is hertz hahaha but I cloned my voice and I typed HZ and the ai read it that way

I have that ivoler dock and occasionally my sound will cut out for a few secs and come back. Just curious if you are experiencing that?

The problem is, I can't seem to use the steam button to put my game to sleep, then press it again to resume it directly on windows. It only works on Steam OS. Anyone finds out how to do it on windows ?

I disagree with using handheld companion because one it's still in beta and two as a windows user first I'd say go forward over to control pannel and set power plans plus you can override controller support in titles using steam input configurations which works on any controller and you only have to do that once per time in game I'd recommend using big picture for that though.

Windows doesn't have native TDP settings + some games like Gamepass ones do not recognize the Steam Input so a workaround like Handheld Companion has to be used

Same for me and I can't seem to get it back... I installed the newer drivers off the Valve windows support site and that broke the Adrenaline software.

So I have had my deck around 8 months… love it… now I have just bought a larger ssd and wondered if I should try Windows 11 Tiny on the Deck? Now installing windows on the deck seems to stir up a lot of debate.. now I am not knocking steam OS, for me it works great.. although I do struggle with the work arounds for other game loaders. Do you loose gaming performance with windows? Does power suspend work the same? Anything else I should consider before doing this?… I use my Deck handheld only as it’s my travel rig.

I would install windows ONLY if i played pubg, fifa or something with anticheat, but i dont, live the steamos, i wish with the asus ally windows get a handheld update and THEN i will switch :D

I honestly didn't notice any. There are many comparisons online. In some cases windows performed slightly better and the other way round

@@TA_Tech alright I see thanks a lot , I’m really hesitant to buy steam deck because of the lack of game variety it has sadly , and I seen some vids which windows is a bit slower than steam os so I’m kinda hoping the asus ally comes out soon and affordable hopefully , what’s your opinion on the Asus ally tho ?

Ally is not going to b cheap plus to play on a big screen u have to buy the external GPU and the cheapest one is about 1500 bucks. the steam u just need the dock and you in business

@@bachatas809 it’s rumored to be around 650 on the low end version and to be honest as of rn I don’t really care about playing on “big screen” I just wanna be able to play a variety of games on good performance , steam deck has good performance but not the variety in game let alone playable games on steam deck without using windows , asus ally tho being a pc console is hella good for the variety so I hope it comes out earlier

In my experience performance is almost the same. You might lose a few fps here and there but what you gain in compatibility is huge. Really the best setup is dual booting between both SteamOS and Windows. I bought a 1TB SSD and split it straight down the middle and it's amazing... I'm then using a 400gb sd card for all my emulation to keep it all separately organised and I've got the jsaux m.2 dock with an extra 1tb for when I'm at home.

As far as controllers go for me ps5 much better than xbox , got both systems but xbox controller put strain on wrists

Cloned my voice using ElevenLabs. It makes it easier for me. What gave it away, so I could improve? Shall I return to normal voice instead ?

@@TA_Tech I'd say the frequency with how you talk seem to give it away. There are no pauses and little variation in how your voice sounds and presents itself throughout the video.
