10 THINGS I LOVE & HATE ABOUT GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY

As per requested, here are a couple things I like and dislike after spending a year at Georgetown. As college decisions roll around, these videos are very helpful and important. Hopefully these inspire some of you all who are watching to become future Hoyas. Thank you guys so much for watching and for all of your continued support!

Thank you so much for this video! I've committed to Georgetown and am planning to go there next year, and although it's a bit discouraging to hear that there are major drawbacks like the facilities being poor but this video still got me hype! Go hoya saxa!

omg I’m from san jose so $12.50 sounds so low to me HAHA my eyes popped out of my head when u said that,, the cost of living is a concern for me as I research colleges but part of me is like man after living in sj how bad can it be

The cost to attend part is soo true!! I've been accepted into class of 2022 and it is beyond expensive lol.. Currently trying to appeal for more financial aid, wish me luck!! Thanks for making this video :))

I went to Howard but I had friends who attended Georgetown and I thoroughly enjoyed that campus! The parties were off the chain!

Georgetown is like 48% white. It’s one of the most diverse schools of its caliber and by far the most diverse Jesuit institution in the country 🤷‍♂️

thiago winters there is no student parking and kids having cars is uncommon. If u are commuting you can purchase a day pass!

Kaitlin Marie georgetown has one of the smaller endowments out of the elite universities so they are quite conservative with meeting financial need. In the end financial need is subjective depending on the university

Thanks girl for the video! So helpful, I really appreciate it since there is limited videos on Georgetown here on KZfaq. I just want to ask, have you ever regretted coming to Georgetown at all? Maybe even just for a brief period your first semester? I’d be interested in hearing about that! However I wouldn’t say the fact that Bill Clinton came to speak is exactly a positive thing 😂😂 (In my opinion- everyone is rightfully entitled to their own) Raising our generation’s impeachments lol

Olivia hi! Thanks for ur comment! Yes definitely there have been times where i feel like i don’t belong and struggled to find my place but time has eased that. Also of course everyone is entitled to their opinion! I just used that as an example that georgetown has many powerful speakers

There's sooo many problems with living at that school... the dorms/apartments and food are unforgivably bad and options for eating out nearby pretty slim & expensive, if I could go back I honestly might choose a different school just to feel more like a normal person day to day

This is the situation my student is dealing with.. desperately belongs in the SFS (admitted) but also wants to keep some basic comforts. It's so disappointing that the cost doesn't take care of these issues.

@@andreahunter8368 Yeah it's tricky. Honestly though, dorm living isn't good at any school, so if they love the SFS (which really is a unique and great opportunity) then I wouldn't let the housing hold too much weight in the decision. You can still bring almost anything you want to make the room feel more like home.

Mikamisa Mikamisa In order to be the most qualified, one has to have high access to education and tutors. To have high access and education more than likely have to come from some type of wealth. With that being said, whites have majority of the wealth. It’s just a cycle that continues, and often times their children attend these types of schools because their mommy and daddy paid for them. And why does diversity matter lol smh ... so if it was a private elite school with majority BLACK people would you sing that same tone. The real question is Why the color of your skin matters?

Chloe Rabz it is definitely difficult but usually professors are understanding and you slowly adjust by creating better studying habits
