I was there in the summer once or twice. It was too hot and crowded for me.

@@thethegreenmachine Summer season can be brutal with the heat, seasonal fires, and crowds.. especially the crowds!

@@roamingthetrails Fires weren't such a worry back when I went. Even without them, summer's probably the worst time to be there. I think spring's the best.

do you guys use any shoes to walk in the snow or specific ones?

We’ve used our regular hiking shoes in the past, we do recommend a pair of micro spikes and possibly some gaiters. Check out my recent short on micro spikes. kzfaq.info8R4OWI8_vJQ
