If you’re the type that keeps a vehicle for a long time, it’s best to get a generation that’s been in production for a few years. The 8th Gen had some problems in 2018, but the 22/23’s should be bulletproof.

22 AWD 4 cyl Camry here. In sport mode the little 4 banger is pretty impressive for a naturally aspirated engine. 0-60 in 6 seconds. What do you want for a 4 cyl that gets 35 on the hwy?

Just a note, this current generation may be the last year and there'll be an entire new model. I would wait for 2024 unless you want a V6 as I'm sure that engine will be discounted.

The 2.5 Camry is not a 0-60 car. If you keep your speed up (40-80 mph) it is a really fun and enjoyable car to drive in Sport mode. It even does quite well on sweeping, winding, and country roads. Fun daily driver. Upgrading to Continental or Michelin tires really improve the ride and handling.

Good video -- just made our work harder. Coming out of a 2020 Honda Accord Touring lease later this year (June) and not happy about 2023 Accord redesign. Was looking at 2023 Prius but may be too small for a 6'3" 250 lb driver. Back in 2017, Camry was too small as compared to our Buick Riviera and Honda Accord. Now, looks like updated Camry bigger and may be better choice than the new Accord.

UPDATE: One month later: went to visit both Toyota and Honda dealerships. Liked the Camry XLE better than Accord Sport Hybrid. Seats in Camry more comfortable and Accord felt like they shrunk the seat track so knees were bent in Accord, making it feel cramped. Price for Camry XLE AWD $6K less than Accord Touring, AND -- Toyota dealership will give us MORE Equity Value on our 2020 Accord Touring than Honda. Plus, we can save 2 last Honda lease payments by getting Camry this month, instead of waiting until Memorial Day for an Accord Touring model. Camry XLE AWD wins! Oh, and we are not "gear heads" so we are fine with base 2.5L Camry engine!

Factory Ordered our Blue Camry XLE AWD and dealer says car is scheduled to be built on or around April 4th, so we will take delivery in mid-May, which is just when we wanted the car as our current 2020 Accord lease is coming to an end.

I have the SE with SoftTex seats. The seats are 6-way adjustable. I would consider the cushions 'firm' and deeply molded to hold you in place. I am 6'2" and 180 lbs and I think they are very comfortable, but I can see how larger/heavier/fatter people might not find them comfortable because they would not fit nicely in the molded shape. Best way to find out is to go down to a dealer and sit in one for 30 minutes and see what you think.

@ExSkyCyclePilot
@ExSkyCyclePilot Жыл бұрын
If you need more than the 200 horsepower provided by the I4 in the Camry to support your driving habits, then you drive like a maniac and have no business behind the wheel. The V6 is smooth and quiet, but you'll pay for it at the pump - at least eight MPG less on average. And the TRD is only for those who want the V6 and a stiff ride. Lots of compromises are made to keep the TRD price down, so do your homework. The XSE V6 is a better choice, but more expensive. My biggest issue with the Camry is the obscenely high prices, but equivalent Hondas and Mazdas are just as overpriced.

Isn’t a Camry a near-luxury car? I know, there’s no such thing as a true luxury car anymore, but for 2023, the idea of a 4 cylinder car, especially with a turbo, doesn’t excite me. High compression = overrated durability. Toyota made a good V6. That shouldn’t just be available in the sporty model. Luxury cars when they were luxury cars had bigger engines for smoothness and comfort, not speed. When people say those cars are boring, I respond with, well you leave my comfortable car alone and I’ll leave your little box designed to make chiropractors rich alone.

'22 Honda Civic Touring has wireless, nothing is really missed or a big deal. However, as this is Toyota's 2023 model it should have followed Honda. The '23 Camry interior dashboard still hinders the front passenger left leg movement just as it was in my 2018 RAV4 Limited AWD. The Toyota Dash protrudes too far down to be really comfortable as a front passenger. Yesterday, I purchased the '23 Camry XSE V6 with most of the Packages for $41,305, even though it may have some flaws or uncharacteristic feeling plus bit outdated as in its 6th year for current Gen. It was difficult to find a low mileage reasonably priced Certified 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T Touring. For Honda is dropping the 2.0T on the 2023 Accord utilizing only the lame 1.5L Turbo Earth Dreams faulty engineered designed engine that still has Oil Dilution and camshaft bushing wear. Still not crazy about CVT's either as they are slushy in gear changes. I do like the 10th Gen Accord design, but the new 2023 Accord exterior body style is blah. 2023 will be the last year Toyota utilizes the V6 engine. In 2024, Toyota is switching to i-4's, i4 Turbo and Hybrid for all or most of their vehicles except for the Lexus brand. Not having wireless in the Camry is not a deal breaker, but not updating the Infotainment system could be a deal breaker for many. I wonder instead of a Panoramic moonroof, how about T-Tops, my former long ago 1982 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L H.O. 302 Boss had T-Tops. Note: The Camry's Bridgestone Turanza EL440 235/40R19 tires expected to last 15k to 20K miles as they are expensive but Sh*t quality tires that have terrible tread wear and the sides will bulge out. You can expect excessive noise after 10K miles with the Turanza EL440 tires.
